I would like the option to not be prompted on my "view your posts" section on some threads.

Click User Control Panel in the top right.
Click Manage Subscriptions, and remove the threads you're bothered by.
Then, to up your game even more, go to Board Preference, Posting Defaults and set Notify me upon replies by default to No.
