Hmmm. So why didnt you just get off, open your paper doll, and get back on? When you buy a horse, it doesnt automatically put you on it, so obviously you knew how to mount it.keuse wrote:bigcheez wrote:for a few months i didnt know there was alt+p for paperdoll so anytime i bought a horse id dismount and lose it when i came back online so i stopped buying them

I recall them being 750gp - 900gp.Slimeball Jasper wrote:I believe this was due also in part with that horses costed really close to 1000 gold, not 550 as it is on here.
I also remember the price being different from visit to visit, I never remember being able to memorize exactly how much it was, I'd always bring 1k and then run back to the bank and drop the change.kingtoad wrote:I recall them being 750gp - 900gp.Slimeball Jasper wrote:I believe this was due also in part with that horses costed really close to 1000 gold, not 550 as it is on here.
This was more of a pre-T2A fact, by the time T2A hit, gold was pretty easy to come by, farming with a character in the 80s skills was easy enough as well. I remember not using horses for 1 main reason. You'd run run run, lag, run run run, lag. Every 3-4 steps you'd take a pause. Slower computers, slower servers, slower connections were the reason I want to say, but I think it would be neat to find out that default RunUO Horse speed was off, just another prod at the flawed emulationkeuse wrote: It was incredibly hard to GM any skills, so it was incredibly hard to get gold, I remember when 3k gold was considered a lot of gold... naw everyone was on 56k back then and pinging 250-300 plus the LOADS and LOADS of spam going on at brit bank/so many people doing so many different things. People that had cable/t1 and pinging 20-50 i remember were unbeatable and had the same speed - or better - on osi shards during t2a and uorRoadKill wrote:This was more of a pre-T2A fact, by the time T2A hit, gold was pretty easy to come by, farming with a character in the 80s skills was easy enough as well.
