To say events are the reason there is no field pvp could only be true if when there are no events there is field pvp, which stops when events start. I have played for hours today in dungeons with no automated events happening and havnt seen any field pvp.

I'm sorry you guys can't find shit for pvp at whatever times you play, thats saddening. But every day I have been finding field pvp for the last 543654654 months. I've ran into ZSV/POV/PKK every day I've played.

I'm not specifically talking about "field pvp". They distract from the game as a whole, and it is widely apparent. The only argument that has been presented here, by those who may/may-not have a bias, are personal accounts of "I see people all the time", and "Events wont change how I play".

I cant really comment on your experience, but I would take a wild guess and say that "field" pvp isnt active in the early mornings on a weekday.

Again, this is just your personal account.

I run into those guilds as well, hanging out at the graveyard like they always do, among other places. There is a difference in active population when events are happening. Just because you are interested in one single thing, does not mean that the rest of us are.

Aye its deffinately not big when Im on. As far as automated events taking players from the real t2a environment, there is no real arguement against that. But as far as field pvp is concerned I think automated events impact is being grossly exagerated.

I dont understand what you are saying,

Automated events have no impack on the non-pvp population density?

Im saying that the impact of automated events from stopping field pvp is being exagerated.

Here is the issue I have with that statement.

a.) Non PvP'er would be impartial to this view, enjoying the lack of PK's during these timeframes, or not having any experience to judge the differences.

b.) Pvp'ers would be blind to the effects because they are at the events.

It is a problem that nobody wants to admit because they like the down-time from routinely being PK'd. Many non-pvp characters, farmer ect, are removed from the game because they are on their pvp characters at the event. Pvpers are not going to argue with events because it lets them play the game how they want without risk, and rewards them with trophies.

I am in the world more than most players. I am in dungeons taking noobs to graveyards and the like and at 'hot spots' for field pvp more than a lot of players. I run events during 'prime times' that is 9 pm est during the week days (wednesday being a peak night statistically). I am very aware of whats going on around UOSA.

I leave dungeons and hot pvp field areas only when events are going to happen, 20 minutes before and 20 minutes after. I do that because thats when Im going to have trouble with pvpers. I would say if anything the pvp events organize alot of players on at the same time.

Another example is wednesday night. High time of population I hold an event. An event in the real world with all the risks etc. These are the types of things that shoudl bring field pvpers out of the woodwork. A global system message massing players out of town. About 7 pkers showed up and stood around...No pvpers at all. There was no automated events the whole night.

I dont see how automated events in anyway is going to translate into more field pvp.

I'm having trouble remembering what Era it was when they did this on Napa Valley, but I did enjoy it. They used to have the Ophidians invade Delucia in the evenings when everyone got home from school/work. I'd like to see that again if it is Era accurate.

been thinking about this a little bit. i enjoy tournaments but i think they do occur a little bit too frequently. once or twice a week for each tournament type would be good enough.

I think that would be sufficient as well.

There were not multiple events every day of the week. There were NOT safe zones of any form[cities are not safezones corbin]. Reduce tourneys to 1-2 a month, this would form a bigger event with proper advertising and make the tourneys mean more in terms of reputation.

Seriously ....if u dont like events dont join them...enough said....quit crying because people are doing something else that u dont want them to be doing... someone figure up the event time ....set an average time per event.someone stated in irc... <Vlastslav-TG> 18 in 6 days? there were 18 tourneys in 6 days... ok so even if we gave each tourney an hour a piece..which never takes that long to finish..thats only 3 hrs a day...you are complaining about the playerbase for 3 hrs a day....seriously go do something else other than complain about something that is supposed to be here for fun...
