Being a true K^A member, i still stand behind my statement, either everyone gets to keep them, or they all get deleted. What good does any of it do? OMG we got a cotton field, does that give K^A any bonus to anything? OMG $$$ has a tent. how does that help them? it doesnt. so i say either everyong keeps them, or just delete them all.

i think its funny tho, how everyone has a hard on for K^A. You guys make me feel loved!!! 8)

I used to love goin to Paxlair on chessy. Now that was a real player town. And here we are bitching about a few roads and a cotton field

What is the function of eye candy?

What harm does all of this ridiculous back and forth do?

Not every town or establishment was blessed.

Many people formed these towns or establishments on their own will without expecting one thing from GMs.

These blessed add-ons were few and far between.

I'd like to see players form towns or establishments without someday expecting add-ons just because other people have them. I would also someday like to see someone from outside a town or establishment recommend that a town or establishment receive minor additions, like a light post or shrubs.

PvP/PK guilds should not expect or receive add-ons IMO.

Call me crazy, validate the suspicion.

Thats what im meaning. It has no function and does not harm any thing. SO why did this thread get started? o ya, because of r-. I feel theres to much eye candy. So i say once again, either keep all the add ons currently there, or delete them all from every guild town, and start with a blank slate. and it be up to the gms what add ons go to what guild. Because everyone knows everyone hates K^A, so voting it pretty much worthless.

im all for add ons tho. UoH if any is about the only guild id say truly deserves them. All i remember$$$ for is cock fights. but thats just my opinion, and iknow not everyone agrees with me. and thats fine.

o ya, why isnt this in trash talk yet? thats all this thread is....

You'd probably breathe a sigh of relief if this thread were to end up in the trash talk section.

I'm not singling out anyone here. I'm not trash talking. I couldn't care less about KA.

Obviously it is doing some harm if you're on the defensive trying to figure out why everyone hates KA. KA isn't the real issue, just an example of the broken system.

If any add-ons are deleted, no one should take it personal.

The last eight pages is a good example of why the system is broken.
Some people may need to make a sacrifice in order to fix this system.

In my opinion, the sacrifice is justified if the system is fixed.
This add-on system is about the most inaccurate system on this shard IMO.

i wouldnt say add ons are inaccurate due to there being player towns on osi. but the amout of player towns on uosa is deff inaccurate. there does need to be something done. all im trying to get across, is that there are other player towns with add ons, not just K^A, so why single us out? it should affect all towns. and i think events should be different like UoH runs. not just the same 1 on 1, or animal fights over and over.

now i might get back to work. ill check back in ina lil!!!

It's not all trash talk. I believe it is a very valid discussion of the GM add ons, who gets them and should they be left indefinately after a guild falls to dust, or quits giving to the community. Being PKs and PvP'ers is NOT being active or enhancing the shard or the community. You seem to be overlooking this point that has been made over and over.

If the community can and does get to vote in favor of town blessing items, then why can't we vote to take them away when said town is no longer actively giving to the community, guild has disbanded, or said guild is using their town to lure in unsuspecting people to murder and grief?

I am fine with broadening the discussion to all PRT's......if you can earn them, you should also be able to lose them.

Urk and other orc guilds have been around for a very very long time. I dont know about you but i would consider them a PVP/PK guild. That is just one example of a pvp/pk guild that has received staff help through the history of UO. Many shards, OSI and player run, would disagree with your statement.

PVP/PK guilds do indeed give to the community, without them we live in trammel... we all know what we think about trammel.

It isn't totally inaccurate, but the amount given out is over the top.

These people that receive the add-ons, will most likely receive them at the peak of their activity. Players activity fluctuate over time. Large guilds dwindle down in months. It is almost inevitable.

IMO:
Organizing a large guild should not be a merit to receive add-ons.
Organizing events should not be used as a tool to receive add-ons.
Using your online time to RP tea party should not be a merit to receive add-ons.

The discussion and vote to add to and take away a PRTs add-ons mainly comes down to the opinion of the individual players. IMO, this isn't truely accurate to how it was done on OSI. There was no vote with the majority side "winning" add-ons.

Also, the merits commonly used to award town add-ons are not up to par IMO.

I agree with you on the Urk/Orc guilds add-ons. Plenty of structure and RP that effects the community in a beneficial way. There is a difference between RP PvP and straight PvP/PK with regards to the community. I would consider them RP PK.
