A lot of familiar names and guilds in this thread. I left UO in 1999 but think about the golden age often. Me:

Chars: Sunchaser, Kafka, L'ia
Guild: Blue Yak
Years: 1997-1999 (in final beta too)
Friends I remember: CoconutMonkey, RedMage, Desmodus, Batticus, Hotshot, Rohdan

Lot of names popping up on here that I haven't seen in ages, funny how we all wind up trying to get that feeling just one more time......

I was a kid at the time, probably 11 or 12. My character's name was Leif, I was a shitty fencer who always hung out at the graveyard pretty much. I remember a tank mage named Joka, and someone else that started with King, but can't remember the last part. I remember Joka always creating new toons, and saying animal taming was a great way to get strength up and stuff. He owned, I think, 2 small houses by the fence in the back of the Brit GY. I think I remember someone named Terminus also, always wore shadow plate and an orc helmet. Gloin was another macer I remember, always used mauls.

Yep, I played ATL around that time before I left for Siege. Good times hanging out in Buccs with my disarm thief. Many fun nights on that shard for sure...la

I was in that for a while character names yo and Somguy, we were pretty much in Delucia all day every day. Very friendly people but I believe some crap went down and they broke up for some stupid reason, then I lost interest in guilds.

I remember hanging out in Vesper more, since we had our tower just E of the E Exit bridge!

There was a lad who owned a house to the NE of it in the forest as well we used to hang out there from time to time.

Good memories from that: Working up skills and going on treasure hunts on boats, good times! I also remember attending a wedding of the guild leaders (it was started by a coulple I think?), was an awkward day; but interesting non-the-less.

i am from ATL, played from late 97 until uo:r hit (when i got banned on test center for calling a ghost a fag??), then came back for another like 4ish years lol. various characters and guilds, was in DC, UmD, DVD, DBS, and some others i'm forgetting.

my various chars include Dr Octagon, DrDoom, and Vlad Dracul (all of which i'm currently using on this server, with a minor change in Doom's name to include a space).

fun times.

Fwerp wrote:I think their abbreviation was just grandfathered in, but yes, I hate LLTS too. They were definitely a fun guild to troll. I still call Marble Island "LLTS Island," heh.
Funny thing is when i started here, i went to the Yew Mall.. was looking through the runebook that said Islands... I am like wtf where is LLTS Island
Still have issues with the name Marble Island... Just doesnt sound right

Anyone have any Recollections of -V-?

Used to be a member, felt like I was part of a family; was pretty neat.
My name on Atlantic was XShadowX I was never in -V- that was our blue guild for crafters, I was however very proud to serve in =V= our Order/Chaos branch, along with Kali Visolara, Randy Visolara, Tristan Lightfall, Lisa, Agent Orange, and Morpheus. Actually not sure why I even started listing half the names there were so many I can only remember a handful anymore.

If you did O/C back in the day on atlantic you had to have fought against us, we warred all over the place from sun up to sun down, but our home town was in Del as mentioned.
