Events offer a variety of activities to participate in, giving more robust and fun ways to enjoy this shard as a whole.
it's not that simple, this discussion is about how events affect the rest of the gameplay.

Log on just for the events
A deer mask is a deer mask no matter what color it is.
Accuracy's focus should be on the mechanics of gameplay not to fixate on trophies, rares, etc. They are merely decorative.
The only people who would want to change the system or make it so these grand prizes are highly unobtainable are those people who have already acquired them to boost the costs of these rares. "Even suggesting to grandfather them in permanently...while suggesting as well you never can get the chance to acquire them"
What this shard needs is a young player revolution, and props to cA for kicking it off as their targets of late have been the correct ones.

I think you missed the part where I clearly stated I would gladly forfeit any/all items that I had obtained through the Event System.. The problem is that not everyone who has would be willing to do the same..
Way to skim through the post.

I think you've all missed the point, imo it isn't about the prizes.

This is why you could go to almost any location on OSI and find a victim, if you so choose to do so.. As it is now, most of our PvP stems in the form of Events, and then the occasional flood of PvP Players who exit the Event Area.. Removing the events will force the people who only play here for events, to either quit altogether, or play regularly..
Buc's Den = regular pvp action anybody..?

I agree as well.
In fact I'd have no problems if Derrick would actually add more new content to the shard, as long as it does not change gameplay mechanics of this era. Heck, It could be superficial new additions to things, like new items with their own art. etc.

Is this a contrary statement? That was what the whole post was about in the first place. Keep new doo-dads but remove the events? Thats pixels over playtime in my defintion.
Now having more in game events with less "Trammel" styled events while still keeping the trophy reward system gets the green light from me.

alatar wrote:You want to have something enjoyable, do it like OSI did it. If you're going to have an event, do it on the fucking game-map.. Don't take everyone to a place where they can just stand there afk and not worry about losing jack shit. There wasn't a single location in T2A where you were ever safe from Death and losing your possessions..

why do you always say 4 clients? its a 3 account max and one that is most likely super easy to detect abuse...
Is 4 acounts something you can prove or know alot of people do?

That must be on the other shard where he and his five buddies play on.

We are trying to keep an era accurate shard here people. GM events should be few and far between and should be viewed as a "treat" not a random automated process that happens every 24 hours

No more randomly but yet also more frequently (once every two weeks give or take?)...and you can vary trophy points with difficulty and/or time spent in that setting.

4 clients can be connected per ip. Many, many players have more than 3 accounts, everyone knows this.
But I'll retract my statement and change it to this:
until something is done to prevent people ghosting on 2 clients while pvping on a third, or someone mining on 2 clients while playing on a third, i say remove events

Im always wondering about the people demanding such things and never be seen ingame. It seems that they only live here and writing essays instead bringin their asses (forgive me) out for gameplay
however
