That simulates the "wait" for t2a accurate GM's as well as reduces the mis-use of this feature. If someone was legitimately stuck in a glitchy tile, and logging/resyncing wont work, this hour-wait option will help them out as a last resort when GM's are not online. Let's face it, they have 14 other characters they could be playing in the mean-time.
Another good option

Very good short-term solution!!!! I support that!

It wasn't anywhere near a half-hour to a hour wait on OSI

Of course it wasn't, but the system shouldn't even be in place. The proposed 1/2 hour to an hour delay is a solution to prevent a non accurate system (that has to be here due to lack of staff) from being abused.

Are you saying it wasn't anywhere near 1/2 hour - hour as in it was longer? The ques on Atlantic were horrendous, I could usually put in a help ticket go watch half a baseball game, comeback and still be in que.

He's not talking about GM ques, he's talking about the "help i'm stuck" option which allows you to teleport to town via a menu.
The hour delay, which should be placed in, will make it so that the current system imitates a GM page for help.
The current menu system with a 1-2 minute timer is far out of era, during the carebear eras of trammel. T2A wasn't carebear.

Just make me a counselor and i'll just go pick everyone up and we can pretend the stuck option doesn't exist.

Or have more counselors and get rid of the help option....

how the stuck option works depends on wether there is a staff member logged on or not. If there is a staff member logged on you will never get the 'warp me' option. It will open up a dialogue box.
If there is no staff on you get 2 uses every 24 hrs.

and those uses shouldn't have a 20 second - 2 minute delay, it should be at LEAST 30 minutes.

It would just be another inaccurate system, what's the point? It was shorter on OSI.

Completely agree.

you know counselors are Volunteers and this is a free shard dont you?
I always find it entertaining when people with no gold coins under their names call for and request more human interaction on a free shard....
Maybe your post was tongue in cheek, regardless people need remember this is a free shard when making suggestions and requests. Donater or not...

Yikes. I'd say I've gotten a dialog box once out of maybe 20 uses of this function. So I don't think eliminating it and hoping a GM is online is the solution; there's just not enough coverage.
I'll also echo Derrick's words about the map differences. I was on a 6.x map for a while, and there's a ton of places in dungeons where I would get hung up. Thankfully I have Magery and Teleport on all of my characters, but it's a huge pain.
I recently copied over map0.mul from the official 5.0.8.x or whatever, but there's still issues. In the Hedge Maze, particularly, I recalled off of a rune in a library to get there and I was stuck in place (kind of in the floor). It took me 15 minutes to find a spot I could teleport to, due to line-of-sight issues, and presumably map issues as well.

Off topic I know, but you might be able to delete/rename/move your verdata0.mul to fix that.
