UO Second Age

It doesn't matter at all to the implementation of this is it becomes easier or harder to tame them, use them, if they are to strong, unbalanced, etc, it just matters that we have the correct stats on all the creatures.

What the heck... capable of casting 8th circle magery?!?!

I don't like that second table at all. It's definitely wrong about a bunch of things. I don't remember drakes having nearly that HP level (again, at 5% of full health, they could be doing 45 pt fireballs). I don't remember dragons being that strong, and I know for a fact they were tameable at 93.9.

I don't remember lava lizards having a stronger melee attack than dragons!!! (that gets three exclamations)

My hunch is that none of the animals changed statistics in UO:R/AOS, when the Animal Lore changes allowed players to see all of the stats of the animals. If that's the case, I remember quite a bit about the stats of the pets (this was my favorite part of the game), and I'm sure we can find some detailed stats from that period of the game. So my advice may be to find out if this is true - if no stats changed during UO:R/AOS - and then if that's the case, use the stats from that time period to inform our period.

the stats on pets in uor to aos didint change its from t2a (second age ) to uor i use to play a tamer on second age on europa server osi and my mare could oen 1 dragon easyly withou heal at all they where stronger then dragon faster and more magic

In August of 02 the taming archive had mares as "They are stronger than drakes, but weaker than dragons"

Atleast this cuts the time frame searching down some.

Zerok, i agree with you that mares were stronger (i actually thought they were still stronger on this shard). To get it changed we need to find documented proof, or at the least a change to animals stats being documented. Somehow mares got *nerfed*, we now know it was before 8-2002.

the stats i gave your with all the monster page are second age accurate its from startic osi page second age time so juste use that one change the wyrm dragon and mare to thos stat

Derrick, great link. I thought they had more HP, but realistically no one would be able to have known at that time (May 2001) what it actually was. Damage and armor look accurate. Intelligence at that level does ring a bell.

Fireballs going from 50-60 to 25ish, magery 8th to 7th, taming from 99 - 95.1, etc.

So this, along with your may page tells us mares got changed. It is just a question of when?

I'm am really led to believe that the 2001 stats are the most correct we've seen. We know that Nightmares magery skill was nerfed sometime after T2A, and it looks as though their stats may have been hit too. The tamers guide has proved to be very accurate for creatures, and also their history.

lol i started a gm war all im teling you is that i played in osi t2a and 1 mare owned 1 dragon easyly faster stronger my stratics link match up why dont u use them why would i juste complaine about something or change de script lol you want a era accurate then mare are the thing to tame

zerok, everyone is agreeing with you in this thread.... People are just trying to determine when exactly mares got changed. If it was after 2-2001 (which it seems it was), then old school bad-a$$ mares would be accurate for the entire t2a era.

No-one is disagreeing with you here.
