My only issue with getting rid of free use is that it would greatly increase prep time and there is only like 2 minutes from the notice of the event to the event and sometimes i need a few minutes to stock so there should be another notice thats about 15 minutes before the event cuz im to lazy to read the event schedule.
New players who dont have enough cash to completely load up on potions will never have a chance of winning.

The other problem with not having free use is that players would need to carry enough with them to last all the rounds if they go all the way through. I don't know if that is realistic, maybe it is though. There is no time to restock.
It also does hurt newer, poorer players who can't afford to stock up like that for an event.
The reason poison potions are not free use is that when there were free, people were using them for skill gain in CTF events.

You would definitely not be able to carry all you need through an event without restocking.
for example, earlier I was pulled to the last round of the 1v1 with only 3 explode potions in my inventory. And that's while carrying only a few of each red/oj/yellow pots on me. If I had to carry full pots, it would be impossible to be stocked for later rounds.

Why would it be a problem not being able to restock between rounds? Wouldn't that only make it that much more exciting?

Restock between rounds. The rounds will go much quicker with limited resources and it will eliminate SD which no one likes.

How about removing skill gain in events altogether? Just lock all skills and stats when a player is pulled into the arena and you can make nox pots unlimited again.

The more I think about it, the more it makes sense. The primary reason why mages dominate no pot tourney (and unlimited food) and dexers dominate pots tourney is because of the free use phenomenon.
If you limit the resources to 125 items and 400 stones, you will see more exciting and fair battles. Wasting resources will not be allowed. Prepping for them will be important too, and yes prepping is key in any battle!!
PS, if you cant prep nor afford to to prep for the tourney then you probably dont need to be doing 1v1 etc.

That's why they should make tournies like field fights, but instead of just loot they get trophies too should they win.
Designing an arena over a large chunk of land to resemble "field fighting" isn't a terrible idea, but kinda corny.
Also, Faust's idea would make the tournaments more "fair" but he used the word "simply" wayyyy to much.

If there would be no free use for potions i strongly believe that any dexxer is going to suck as soon as his stamina would drop below 90.
Everytime i face a tank in a pot tourney i have to take care of my stamina due to the decrease of the hit speed with falling stamina.
For having any chance to win the fight my stamina has to be constantly about 95 with a kryss for disturbing and with that given the mage still has a good chance to take it to the sudden death and own me with running and explopot throwing / hally whacks.
With no unlimited access to potions these tourneys would be tank mage only events.
People go macro yourself a dexxer, learn to play (its no skill

) instead of complaining.
I think pristiqs suggestion - if possible - sounds good and would help a bit.
Explo pots should be unlimited as well because they are essential to win a fight in a tourney where pots are allowed and at the moment only a "rich" player with a purple keg in his bagpack (really?) has a realistic chance to win the tourney throughout all stages.

How is this not a double edged sword? You realize hally swings are based on stamina?
Limitation of resources affects everyone, mages included. a 150-200 stone reg bag will have serious limitations on pot count. On the flipside a dexer dont need that many regs.
Instead of having 2 tourneys, one thats dominated by mages, and one thats dominated by dexers, why not strive for one?

Yes it is but the consequences are nearly not noticeable for mages while a dexxer is more sensitive for the stam drain.
And effectively any dexxer lives by the damage he deals.
Less stamina - less damage and hits - less disturbs -> death.

Is it really that corny? Would it be possible to open a connection to testuo...maybe do it in destard and have a last man standing in a dungeon environment without the spawn? Instead of a trammel have a whole world devoted to events but still accessible to all to test yet blocking them out of certain areas that are being used for events at the moment? The world is already created just need a way to link them together in a way that works.
