Yea, Blizzard has two locations.

One in Cali and one in Austin TX. I worked at the one in Austin = P

I edited my post because I just realized it's totally wrong to say that stuff. Hehe, gotta keep it a secret to respect the company. Seriously, Blizzard may be sell-outs since WOW used to be great in vanilla but sold out as more expansions came out....BUT Blizzard treats their employees very well.
I missed it. Now I wanna know what you said sooooooo badly.

I had to warn players about that, and tell them that gear here is pretty much easy come, easy go, compared to WoW. Re-gearing here is fairly easy.

-In WoW, you are "weak" if you don't spend weeks/months getting the best (at the moment) gear,
-UOSA It's about skill (well its supposed to be about skill anyway).

I can't help but chuckle at my friend who spends weeks trying to raid and giving himself an brain aneurysm getting himself the "best" gear for his class/spec, only to periodically start all over again stressing out because he is now "useless" in his "crap" gear.

He keeps racing after that old carrot-on-a-stick Blizzard keeps dangling in front of him.

Actually...gearing up in WoW is fairly easy. Gearing up to the BIS items is another story, but you can get "well" geared with comparable stuff in literally a couple weeks. No longer than it takes to build up an armory here. Yea the difference is you can't be looted, but pvp is quite different in that game.

I feel UO has a steeper learning curve than WoW, but Blizzard has def made a fine game.

Oh no question it's a great game. the 11+ million or whatever playerbase speaks for itself.

I'm talking about the players, like my friend, who has the elitist competitive streak in them that consumes them to have the best, of the highest tier of gear. He nearly gets physically ill stressing over how he plans on getting it, what guilds to join to get it the quickest, etc.

And it happens all over again every, what?, couple months? He's gonna pop a blood vessel in brain, or something if he doesn't relax and play a little more casually. A game ( an entertainment medium) should not be causing THIS much stress and anxiety. :)

lol, well some people are really into their gaming!

IMO if it helps keep thousands of degens off the streets, more power to them!

Just keep in mind personal responsibility, it's really not WoW's fault...

Another thing you have to mention is that there are way less little kids in a game like this. I wouldn't be surprised if half the player base of WoW had never even played a video game until WoW, they just seen a commercial on TV and thought theyd try it.

I actually tried to play that game, I leveled a character to like 40 or some shit, I didn't like how its so gear based, especially since no one ever has complete sets of mid level armor because by the time you get the complete set, you're over-leveled for it. In this game, it means way more to die. I'd kill someone in WoW and they'd be back in like 2 seconds. But the worst thing about WoW is that there is no end-game content, the stuff you do in the beginning is the same stuff you do in the end, just with bigger numbers. I don't want to give WoW all my time and money just to be competitive, I have other games to play too.

One thing that would be cool tho, is if there were a game that was really hard-core like this game but with the graphics and awesome environments in WoW, Just imagine if this game were exactly the same, but with the graphics of wow.
