How do you macro? Just pick a spot on the ground or does there actually have to be someone hiding there?

There is a little tavern with a downstairs in brit that has numerous chests that are trapped in the basement. That's how I did it at first. Later I just made 30 something traps and set them on one tile breaking the container I put them in and set them around like 12 or so more. After 50 skill I Gmed it like in no time.

The skill makes a check for each chest, and I think after 50 it does area. Gains are normal about to there but afterwards they increase almost every time you use the skill with more boxes/chests.

There is a guide in the Guides Section that explains how to GM detect hidden in under an hour using multiple chests stacked on a single tile.

There's also the chests room in the warriors keep at brit west bridge with 29 trapped chests fairly close together. I GM'ed my skill out there in a few nightly sessions.

Nah, don't think it's that. Basically the small keep right next to the (only) bridge leading from west brit bank towards the moongate. If you cross the bridge and continue due west you'll be there after 15 tiles or so.

Most of my Officers tend to do this Laz:

main backpack filled with newbie death robes, covering a pouch
multiple trapped boxes on top in main pack

In pouch: another pouch, with a pouch in it, and a pouch in it

In each "interior" pouch put 10 coins separated from one another in each pouch leading to your "item holding" pouch

Have gm lockbox locked inside "item holding" pouch w/ gold and reags.

The thieves will still get lucky, but by separating the coins and putting pouches within pouches, under the robes... their chances have been greatly reduced.

Also, I tend to pick up light weight crap items, like heads, axels, or other pieces of bank junk, reducing their chances of stealing something valuable even more.

It just seems to me like the people with the least amount of crap are the most worried about being stolen from.

You can always pay me a tribute and I won't steal from you for some amount of time.

You're also decreasing the amount of stuff you can carry; I can only imagine with that much junk, you'd be able to farm for less then 30 minutes before you 'cannot carry anymore items.'
