when you buy a horse and issue no commands to it before getting on, next time you dismount its AI will tell it to go back to the stables you bought it from, so it will immediately take off in some general direction and not stop until its dead or lost.

I noticed this with monster spawn, if you lure a monster anywhere, once the aggressor disapears (hides or whatever) it will try it's best to pathfind back to its spawn point. This can be pretty frustrating sometimes.

Hm, I consider that normal for monster spawn, I'm pretty sure it worked like that on OSI too. But horses definitely did not try to run back to their "spawn point". They'd just randomly walk around, very slowly.

NPC's should wander around randomly when they are no longer in range of their home location.
This has been an issue for quite some time now.

This wasn't posted as a patch notes because it wasn't a patch, but still, sorry for the lack of notice.
We re-erected the signs around the effected portals a few days ahead of time, and made the changes throughout the day on Thursday. The ability to restrict pet travel through the Lost Lands teleporters has been active for some time, we just didn't have it turned on.
Your mare didn't disappear when you traveled, it was left behind, but where is went after that is anyone's guess.

It is very noticeable when clearing treasure chest spawn; lure them away and hide, they'll pause for a minute, then head back to the chest.
