The primary question I have is this really a net benefit to a player in the field. Using razor macros for PvP is something I've never witnessed to be a viable strategy.

Presumably the character wouldn't be being controlled by a player but a looped macro or script

its a shame we have to jump through all these hoops when the base line problem is being able to run multiple clients at the same time.

1 client connection per ip or mac address or some variation.

I'd like to talk about limiting razor a bit ... last time this convo. came up that I saw .. there was no good way to use razor in Linux. That has now changed and we have a few members here playing with razor under linux. So really UO gateway and Krrios client are the only other way I can think of that people would connect to us. I agree would suck to lose UO gateway players (razor is free download it) .. but really how many do we have (serious question maybe I should make a poll) and really I'd be very happy with banning krrios client ..

Why ban krrios .. because it does not need 3rd party programs to make scripts and such .. it uses plugins etc that are scripted and run within the client itself (all this is my understanding seeing I don't use krrios .. I did have it up and running years ago on another shard) I have seen for myself the things that can be done with this client and a good scripter. Things like auto drinking pots at pre set health stam level etc.. 3+ toons following one person syncing harm and killing people etc. I've also seen it used for gathering ore and wood (unattended) It also does alot of other stuff .. putting rings around targeted players, removing all but the footsteps of buildings showing guard lines and MUCH MUCH more. (These are just examples off the top of my head there are more)

I ask anyone that has used or knows about the dangers of krrios please post about its dangers to the shard.

Krrios's client despite his good intentions is nothing but a client with a cheating utility built right in.

You should get your facts straight before throwing around accusations. ASC are not bots, and it's been addressed many times... unlike your cA PK archer gank squad (oooh, did I just throw around an accusation without facts?).

Other than unmanned archer turrets, I really can't imagine that an unmanned, Razor-ran bot could be of much value. It seems as if it would be really easy to trip that sort of thing up, but then again I do not have anything even resembling LEET COMPUTER SKILLZ.

Can someone provide examples of something other than unmanned archer turrets?

I think the only other thing that would affect pvp would be gate bots, which work well and many use them. Of course, once party and guild chat are removed that won't be possible (through allowed means)

No client but an OSI/EA client and Razor are allowed on UOSA.
EA/OSI client includes the 2d client, the 3d client, and KR client (if you can get it to work)

What then happens to two people in the same house playing the game? I happen to belong to e very famly-oriented guild, and often play with a relative at the same location. We can't play then?

this is why the 1 IP debate will always be going on, and it will never change.

You ask Derrick to make an exception for your IP address, provided you provide him with two forms of picture ID per user, a birth certificate, a recent stub from your electricity bill, and 3 months proof of income.

Granted you pass both the credit and background checks.
