[OOC: Hicha, it's hardly war and peace, is it?

Just out of curiousity, what template are you considering? And what will you do with the magics found in chests?
Pirul, I'm going for:

Cartography
Lockpicking
Hiding
Stealth
Healing
Anatomy
Fishing

With regards to trapped chests we'll just do like we did in the days of old on Europa and send some poor Recruit to open the chest, and put him back on his feet after he's had his boots blown off him.

If you think in terms of 'Explorer', rather than 'T-hunter', I think the above template will work very well.

As for the magic items, we've amended the guild concept page to state that rather than leaving all magic items when we find them (as was the case on Europa), we'll bring them back to either smelt them if they're rubbish, or sell them on OOC for profit that can go towards the guild's gold stores. No point leaving a vanq weapon if it can make the guild some money etc, as our income stream won't be particularly high just crawling through Shame etc - Though then again, making money is a very low priority of the guild (gotta supply uniforms somehow, though).]

Ok, I see you won't be using provo (or will you have it on another character in the party?), and without magic weps, I'm guessing you're gonna do up to lvl 2, maybe even 3, depending on the number of adventurers. The trap on those maps will probably not kill a character with 100 str when opening the chest from 1 tile away, so you could probably just take the damage on this same guy and heal accordingly.

Interesting build, but if you decided to drop some skill points from carto and LP, since you won't be doing the higher end chests, you might want to add a bit tracking, and IMHO, you could end up with a pretty nice 'Explorer/Scout' build which could lead to some interesting RP. [Stealthing through dungeons, knowing what lays ahead, the scout gives notice to the party of the dangers they're about to face while opening the forgotten treasures that the beasts have amassed, etc.] You don't need that much tracking either to get a pretty decent read on what lies ahead.

Scrolls, gems, regs, and minor stuff will make you TONS of money, don't underestimate those either. As far as magics, good decision, would hate to see a +25 kat of vanq being left to decay, or smelted.

[OOC: Exactly. If you've read our guild concept page, and how the guild as a whole relates to magic users and "taints" (the every day average player typing as though they're texting), it makes sense to sell weapons onto them... If they want to kill themselves, they're saving us a job - And we're getting cash for the pleasure; just so long as we ourselves don't corrupt our minds with magic etc.

I see what you're saying about tracking; worth considering though I can't imagine it being necessary if you have 5+ warriors in tow.

Again, yeah we'll never do level 5's etc, but even upto level 4 is possible with this kind of guild. Has been done in the past back on Europa.]

Alright, Sir. Well, good luck with your adventures. I love what you're doing, and even though RPing isn't quite my cup of tea, I pretty much enjoy following your expliots on the forums, and I hope you continue to posts reports of your expeditions.

Particularly of t-hunts, I'd love to see you guys drop Deamons and Ogre Lords with regular weps and AR (I know it CAN be done when you get them 1 at a time, but I'm still a bit skeptical on how it can be done with 5 or even 10 non-magics melee fighters when you get a spawn of 2 deamons, 2 OL's, a LL, and a Dread Spider right off the bat, like we got last night on a lvl 4).

... what does that mean? Are you eventually going to wage war on non-roleplayers?! Or wish for a genocide?!

Just my opinion but don't go overboard with the "taint" thing and alienating other players and even casual roleplayers (not saying you should include them in your guild, just don't look at them down your nose)... Kind of creates animosity and a sour roleplay environment. I was on Europa too, hehe.

edit: Nah just met one of you guys in game, you guys seem nice enough.

[OOC: Haha, no no it's all just part of the role-play; if people charging around casting magic from their fingertips and hooting glutteral sounds e.g. "u orite m8?" want to buy what the militia finds to help kill one another, it lessens the risk of the militia catching the 'disease' themselves

I suppose you could call it arms dealing? Heh.

Thanks for the kind words guys, remember you're always welcome to give the militia a shot if you want; with 15 character slots available to you, surely it's worth that much? :D ]
