So, now asking a question in main chat and expecting, oh, i don't know, an ANSWER, is creating controversy? How do you reach that conclusion, exactly? And, what is main chat for if its wrong to ask questions there? Please inform me.

I think the problem is that you want the IRC channel to be used for nothing but that, and if it were, there would be no one there to help new players in the first place.

I'm not making you into a bad guy, I'm not telling you to do anything, the problem is YOU are jumping to outrageous conclusions about things that are super simple. Again, I challenge you to read through the wiki, and if you still haven't found your answer PM someone or ask in chat a few times. If you have to ask 5 times, but you still get an answer that's not game ending. It's not something that should deter you from the shard, or ruin your experience. IRC is there for the convenience of us all, and when it's ruined by idiots, again not calling YOU an idiot, these trivial rules are put into place. Then we have folks that come in and read these rules and act like it's now the JOB of everyone in IRC to serve them. That's what I feel like you're saying. Try playing the game, try figuring it out, making some friends, interacting with the player base, not idling in IRC worrying about the rules and who is going to answer your question before an off topic conversation starts. That's how I did it two years ago. That's how they did it back in the day.

Also I just paged up the IRC log from the last hour...like 6 questions have been asked/answered.

Who is jumping to conclusions? I read the wiki, ask my friends, ask other people, then go to main chat. I never implied that it was "game ending" as you say. I have said multiple times in various threads that I like this shard, and I don't plan on leaving. Why would you think that I would leave because I have a question?

I never said anything about enforcing rules. DarkWing and Braden are talking about rules, I was relaying my experience. And I DO usually end up figuring it out on my own. But I was simply stating that it is difficult to get questions answered.

But your last post is not making me feel any less singled out. How about this: Next post, reply to DarkWing's post, as he is the OP. I am finished with this thread. I have my solution to my problem.

its amazing .. everytime this subject gets brought up it seems most support having control in the room. but there a just a few that intend to have it there own way.

its simple people. if your going to have a Deep discussion about something with someone .. you might want to think about taking it to a Private room or one of the 2 pvp rooms, thats what they are there for!

So, what can be done about this...I know there have been many times when I have gone in to ask a question and been ignored or looked over becuase I was the only one talking about the game.

I usually have to repeat my question 2 or 3 times to get someone to notice.

To be fair, i have seen a few of your questions and just had no answer for you. There are only a few people that really care to answer questions from I have seen and if they don't know, they don't even answer.
