UO Second Age

Exceptionally good imho.

Been thinking I might record something if I get the time to do something between sessions. I have an idea I'm playing with which is totally out of character for me, but should be interesting.

I'm really excited to see some more submissions. Second Age needs an album.

Alright, well here's another song I finished recently called "Starless Night":

Both this tune and the other tune I linked earlier are rock/metal-ish instrumentals aimed at movie/video game soundtracks.

If the contest requires vox, then I'm out. A bunch of 2nd graders scraping metal forks along a chalkboard sound better than my vox. A group of already dying cats suddenly slowly (suddenly-slowly WTF?) being run over by a bulldozer sounds better than my vox. Ripping out your eyeballs with a corkscrew is much more soothing than listening to my vox... ok I'm done. You get the point.

You could always write the lyrics and get someone else to do the vocals

This is true... however I don't know of anyone at the moment that could do vocals. I could always hit up music community sites and try to enlist somebody. Who knows, if I have enough time maybe I'll try. I'd also have to write another song from scratch as these songs are complete the way they are.

I'm in the process of tracking vocals on my submission. Decided to do a parody song rather than make something new (both because of time issues and other issues I can't really get into at the moment) but it's certainly interesting. I'm just behind on the tracking because I've had a bit of a bad week not feeling up to par. Feeling a bit better though so I might boot up and get some vocals done. It will be pretty comical I think.

None the less, someone else shouldn't be allowed to enter with something you wrote.

I apologise, I wasn't so clear on the rules this time around. Submissions must be recorded songs, you've got the hardest part done, now just lay it over an instrumental
