It's a toss up between skara and jhelom for me. Both have all the shops that I need and are not full of useless buildings. Skara gets the nod because of the stables and it's a pain in the ass to use the teleporter in jhelom just to go to the Mage shop.
Least favorite cities? Trinsic and Vesper.

minoc, just because it was the city i spent most time in as a noob in '99. if i need to use town to bank, maybe sell some crappy magic weapons and gems minoc's the place. has a provisioner right next to the bank for re-equipping pouches/bags. quiet and usually free of thieves
vesper is second because it's close to minoc and it has multiple mage shops right by the bank (and a tailor close by)

Vesper -- Its where my first Avatar was born

Re: Your favorite city?
Definitely Vesper. A bit of a bias because this is where I first started 12 years ago, but I've always been fond of it. It's located in a great spot, with Cove, Minoc, and Buc's Den all close by, it's own gy w/ access to t2a...used to be quite the hub for activity back in the day with both N and W Vesper strips being full of vendors.
Only downside is the city itself is difficult to get around...but with the bank and mage shops being on the main island and the rest being the lesser used shops...I never find it too difficult. Love Vesper.
But WCK is what really makes it.

I am with MatronDeWinter but did not see NuJelom in the list so I went with Yew which was my second fav city.
NuJelom has it all (but a mage shop) and looks so nice, My wife love that place when she is playing that is were she can be found alot.

Re: Your favorite city?
Glad to see Vesper tied for 2nd..didnt sound like it was getting much love from the posts till i voted. Vesper is where i always hung out back in 1999, for all the stated reasons: T2a & Graveyard access, Pretty central location from other nearby cities, tons of vendors usually around and 2 Tailor shops to sell Bolts of cloth as a new player!
I never found it hard to get anywhere in Vesper...except the leatherworker and how often does anyone go there?

Re: Your favorite city?
My #1: Jhelom; because it has one of almost every single vendor in a small radius, making it perfect for vendoring tmap junk.

Re: Your favorite city?
I voted minoc. It is where I was born and raised basically. One of my very first GMs was mining, it nearly supported my entire wow beginning. I remember every time I would reach the skill level and discover a new ore type I would go nuts. I also remember running to the caves way up north being scared that some monster would attack my packhorse. Heh, good old days.
