GM hiding you can hide 8 squares away from attackers. Some people will run right by you too.

Hiding should have LoS on it. If you are in spell range(12-13 tiles?) you cannot hide as you would be in combat. Only if you ran around a corner/inside a building out of sight should be able to hide if they are closer than 12-13 tiles, GM hiding or not

Hiding is line of sight based. It is also range based as well with an 8 tile distance at GM skill.

I personally didnt go for a 7x gm when I made my bard and never thought to use the hdiing skill becuase of the reuse timer and then i cant use provocation. It is much easier to just cast invis.

I took a much different approach to achieve a self sufficient character.

100 str / 100 int/ 25 dex

100 Music
90 Provocation (locked)
90 Anatomy (locked)
80 Healing (locked)
80 Magery (locked)
80 Meditation (locked)
80 Peace (locked)
30 resist (locked)
---------------------
700

Yes, I know it is a crazy setup but worked for me. I was able to get a few million a hour killing dragons on Catskills. I think this guy was one of my favorites.

6th circle fizzles aren't up my alley. With a provo that can fail, bandaids that can fail, and invis that can fail you must be very comfortable with that template to pull it off! you even have peacemaking on there! That is like the challenge bard template, hehe ;)

Regardless of your odd skill choices... 30 resist is doing absolutely nothing for you unless you plan on fighting skeletal mages all day. Perhaps filter 10 more points into anatomy so you can res, 10 more into magery so you never fail an invis, and 10 more into meditation for better regen(or gm provo). Sorry, I cant help but pick apart and give advice. If it works for you it works for you, but I think you could keep your key skills and make the template work even better for you.

Your skill total is 630; where did you put the other 70 points? Like the previous poster said, you can fizzle on 6th level spells (INVISIBILITY) and you can fail provocation which is really not an option with balrons, dragons, daemons, poison elementals, etc. Peacemaking is pretty much useless because it doesn't last long enough for your skill timer to reset to use provocation.

That template is perfectly fine. Here's what you do, use hiding and watch the monsters kill eachother and if a red comes up you dont need wrestling because in case you didn't know you can provoke any monster onto a player...so just provke themonsters on the pk and dont let the pk hit you. Simple ;]

That is the biggest load of bullshit i've ever seen...unless the dragons dropped about 50k per drop you didn't make a few million an hour dont even put that shit on there.

I knew I was going to get people to make comments on the template but it worked great and I didn't fail much at all with my skills. If you don't believe that is what I made. That is fine with me. When you have all the dragons to yourself. Make a rune for your house or bank, then make a run at the entrance and one inside. Now just watch the dragons and drakes kill each other and loot the cash. Rinse, wash and repeat until your bank is overflowing.

YOU ARE FULL OF SHIT MAN. Dude dragons only dropped 1k give or take, im sorry but at spawn rates and the short amount of gold in the given time wouldnt even get close to 1 million in an hour. You're full of shit.

I do not have to prove anything to you. I did make that much and it was rather fun.

1 mill per hour killing dragons (or anything) is mathematically impossible. Let's be reasonable here.

When I finish making my bard here and have him setup to these stats. I will record myself playing and post it for you skeptics to see.

You'd have done much better for yourself had you just said "Well, yeah not millions, but a lot" instead of trying to stick with the blatant lie.

Instead, you not only miscalculate your lie on your skill template (You only have 630 points listed), but you then try to convince us that you're killing hundreds of dragons per hour?

"A few million" to me is at least 3. Couple = 2. Few = 3+.

Lets give you the benefit of the doubt and say you meant only a couple million (2,000,000 gold). Lets be generous and say that each dragon drops max 1300 gold and another 500 or so in gems/scrolls/vendor trash. Lets even also say that one out of every 10 dragons nets you an item that sells for 20k gold. So lets just say for argument sake that each dragon nets you a total of 3800 gold on average.

2,000,000 / ((9 * (1300 + 500)) + (1 * (1300 + 500 + 20000))) = 526.

You killed about 526 dragons per hour? With ~30% fail rate on provocation?

Interesting...
