I think Patch 133 will reduce the number of houses that just sit empty.
You cannot co-own a player to a house if they own a house.

I'm not worried about people placing more houses, the whole point of this thread is for the existing empty structures to get used more. If eliminating the co-owners does not improve empty house usage then the discussion needs to shift to reducing the amount of housing per account.

It'll help some, but as Matron pointed out earlier, most of the empty house owners are "noobs" (i.e. 50-50 chars) and wouldn't be co-owned anyway. With a little bit of legwork and house transfers the co-owner system can still be "abused" as it currently is and most of these houses will remain empty.
