It's like the vets can just sit around with their thumb up their arse and if they need any gold all they need to do is post "selling neonz i horded for 2 years, 40 mills lol, need sum more castles" while the newer players actually have to farm/play the game for ridiculous amount of hours to afford ANYTHING in the market, that is controlled entirely by vets.
It WOULD be nice to have another CuB for the benefit of those who haven't played this shard for 1-2 years, but the vets would cry foul just because they horde the items and sell them for a few mill a piece. Which is ridiculous, if the market was re-filled with these items vets wouldn't be able to get away with this shit.
I kind of see both sides here. On one hand, comments like "another CUB would be devastating for the shard" really just mean "another CUB would be devastating for any rare hoarder's bank box". Which is incredibly annoying if you've had to work for most of what you have and want to catch a lucky break by getting/selling something big.
On the other hand though, the whole "vets control the economy" is, guess what......ERA ACCURATE! That's just how an MMO is. The longer you've played, the more chances you've had to collect things and therefore make money off of them.

I honestly don't recall the majority of vets running around with 20+ mill gold and a castle on every character. I had quite a few rares on OSI and the prices for them were nothing like they are here. It's irrelevant though, Derrick has stated he's not aiming for social/policy/event accuracy and this is obvious. 2 CuBs is NEA but T2A existing for 2+ years is also NEA
I could care less either way, but let's be honest, the vets don't want another CuB cause they want to keep hording, dominating the market and never have to work a day in UO ;/

It seems that folks want another CUB because they missed out, not because a CUB is needed. I've only been here for six months so I missed out as well, but I can't really say another one is a good idea simply because I missed out. Another one should be because another one is needed, not because people missed out.
If another CUB isn't needed, then there shouldn't be one. The point of a CUB is to clean up extra items not to achieve some sort of equality.

By that virtue, isn't another CuB "needed"? The item count been has stated to be higher than it was in the first place. Though I do see the problem if CuB is recurring, it encourages item hording.

If another CUB was needed I would imagine someone from the staff would say one was needed. Threads stating that a CUB is needed seem to be started by players rather than staff.

I was pointing out that the first one wasn't needed if one isn't needed now. I think CuB (on UOSA) was more to do with giving something to the players, rather than a necessity. Of course on OSI it was needed because of the housing phase changes.

This makes no sense cause i seriously doubt the first one was NEEDED.
And another one is a good idea cause then id have a reason to come play here again, besides killing the same mobs i been killing for a decade.

The only way another CUB is NEEDED .. is if you want to really hurt the shard .. .. ( I was not here either and missed out but not by much

) .. but from what remember it caused much more hoarding then ever before .. and the fact that it has happened once has to this day lead to people hording to this day..
