if derrick will change it a handfull ppl will be pissed. not because masks would break, because he dont stay to his words.

you cant sell anyone something and tell him it is like THAT and the other day u change ur mind and say "oh i changed my mind its not what i told u, no refund".

and to all ppl who care to much about other ppl (with items they dont own) and acting like they are the world police of era accuracy. THE WHOLE server isnt era accurate because it is based on a event silver system and we have the year 2011.

im done with this troll breakable item threads serious get over it and play the game

All items should be breakable. Just for era stand point. If not then make archery back to where it was great again. :)

This is a discussion where we have Policy v. Era Accuracy. If it is policy that a trammel ruleset will take precedence over a Felucca ruleset we should move into passing out the moonstones and be on with the shard. Call it UOSA:Trammel Edition. There should not be a challenge from Policy when it comes to Era Accuracy if true Era Accuracy is the goal, if it is Era Accuracy but we prefer trammel then state it. If the Era says that x should be x, then here x should be x regardless of policy unless it is game-breaking (i.e. worldforge bugs etc.).

No one's mind is changing. Goal of server = accuracy. A "change of mind" would be Derrick saying "Hey guys, guess what, I love samurai swords so I'm implementing the Samurai Empire patch into our 1999 shard, sorry about that whole accuracy kick I was on."

Additionally, a "change of mind" would be saying "Our goal here is accuracy" and then saying "Our goal here is accuracy, unless I make a mistake and find that fixing the mistake to something more accurate would make some people sad". Which, incidentally, is exactly what's happened.

As for the no refunds, that's been pretty clearly written on the silver turn-in guide since before most of us showed up here.

Matron raises a good point... Derrick has effectively gone back on his word re: clothing bless deeds that we all got for Christmas, on the basis of sticking to accuracy. It's strange to apply the accuracy hammer to some people's deeds and items but not others because they paid more for them.

From a broader perspective, I think sticking firmly to accuracy has been this shard's biggest strength over the years (well, second, behind staff and player dedication), so in general I'd favor anything that keeps UOSA closer to that (yes, even cutting bandages one at a time).

no, or custom items given out by staff... but thats not mechanics :P

threads weak, go home, im sure this will be addressed in 2-3 years when its turn comes up again.

But for now Im sure efforts can be better spent by the UOSA programming department on stuff that actually affects the gameplay.

Accuracy in all forms is important. I for one support Era Accuracy, not the encroachment of Trammel into UOSA, it just seems to get worse every patch. If a GM told you x in era, x was not always the case, so I do not see why it should be so here.

Era accuracy is the shard's number one goal, not protecting blessed deer masks that only a couple people own. Blackfoot, you might say the thread is weak, but it only makes sense to follow accuracy instead of creating game mechanics that break shard policy.

Also, instead of arguing with, "OMG YOUR ARGUMENT IS WEAK" in this thread, you should offer valid counter-arguments to keep the debate productive, otherwise create a separate thread in the trash talk forum about this thread.

the valid counter arguments have been tabled repeatedly and summarily ignored for years.

this thread will be a carbon copy of every other thread about this topic.

It already is. This thread will accomplish nothing but bumping post counts.

This will be the last time I open a thread to read anything on this subject. Literally nothing can be said that hasn't been said in previous threads/posts.

Except that the completely valid "now Christmas CBDs are completely inaccurate and did not come from the already inaccurate silver system" argument stems from today's patch and has not been addressed by you.
