Operation Stable Giveaway
Re: Operation Stable Giveaway
More than giving away slots, I will gradually be removing pets from the stables without replacing them, thus effectively opening up slots at different stables.
There is no time for this, there are several stables this will happen at, multiple slots will become open at once, and no PMs are necessary. Just play the game, and hope you get lucky!!

Re: Operation Stable Giveaway
The reason I do not take anyone up on the stable giveaway is that I don't know if my spot(s) will be there when I'm done using my tame(s). A one time fix doesn't do me any good. Additionally, spending 20 minutes getting 2 tames is not practical for someone who plays in 60 minute or less spans. I don't want to spend 30%+ of my gametime replacing pets (or recalling around [yes, recalling not gating, so i don't run out of mana] looking for stable slots for that matter). As a result, I just don't bother and I play my bard instead.

Re: Operation Stable Giveaway
Here's a step-by-step guide that works very well (usually):
1) Look for tamed animals AND people around the stable area, which could indicate somebody is waiting to steal your spots (usually nobody is there)
2) Tame a couple of trash stable animals (e.g. pigs and cows)
3) Claim your dragons (or whatever)
4) Immediately and quickly stable the trash animals to hold your spot
5) When you are done with your "good" animals, just do (3) and (4) again (except you are stabling the "good" animals)
You have now held on to your stable spot. Chance for it getting lost is now probably less than 20%. Enjoy!

^ And If something goes wrong you can message one of people listed giving away slots to cover them lost slots. That is the main aim I have in mind when giving away slots.the bazookas wrote:Here's a step-by-step guide that works very well (usually):

Note people maoning about this, this is not to fix the problem but just to help out people having the problem. It is a bandaid not antibiotics...
The antibiotics is as I stated earlier as well as Pirul has.
Random freeing up of stable slots.. this is already in effect and a number of slots have been opened up in trinsic (someone has already filled all 10 though lol) but more random slots will be opened up soon.
Finally people that are stating that this is blocking the stables to do this.. I am using my own dragons/ww too do this which have cost 2-4k per.. i don't have 50 cat,dog and rats blocking.
Re: Operation Stable Giveaway
WTB STABLE SLOTS. JK not gonna play on a server where i have to buy stable slots.
Re: Operation Stable Giveaway
First off, I want to thank everyone for offering up stable spots. Although I don't
need any at this time. I do have stable spots.( under ten ) All the pets I have in them are to ride or to pack.
I don't consider myself a "horder", but a stable user.
Enjoy and stay healthy in game.

Re: Operation Stable Giveaway
I still haven't got any requests for stable slots...
This leads me to believe that the people who get on and complain about stable spots are either (1) new people who don't know about or check the forums (the idea that they are new certainly is corroborated by the fact that if you know what you are doing, you can get stable spots pretty readily) or (2) veteran players who are upset because they can't add a few more dragons to their dragon turrets.
In either case, I don't think that this forum-based Stable Giveaway has been a success... unless it were somehow broadcast to new people in-game, I don't think we'll get many takers.

Re: Operation Stable Giveaway
I believe you are correct on all accounts.
I just recently had 1 person ask for a stable slot for their pack horse.

mrl4963, just because your name appeals to my sense of randomness, I'll give you more than 1 slot (maybe 2 or 5)!... PM me--I'm usually on in the evenings EST.

Re: Operation Stable Giveaway
I have one pack horse I need a slot for. Or can someone tell me how to keep it. I asked ingame on the help petition. I was told find a stable or when you log the pack horse will roam. I tamed a pet bear but it was gone when I returned to game. I left it at the Inn. Thank you for the help.
Update- Nov 26, 2011. I managed to rent a stable spot this morning. Thanks to everyone who helped. I lost my packie but the chicken will hold the spot while I buy another packie. Also a special thumbs up to Lucy the Lich who was kind enough to explain how the stable spot program even worked. Happy Gaming

Re: Operation Stable Giveaway
I would love some stable slots. I had 8 in skara brae, I claimed and with no one around, they all disapeared before I could put my 'slot filler' rabbits in. Kind of sucks taming WW's, they're all over the neighborhood as a result of parking them in my home : X

Re: Operation Stable Giveaway
Thanks Bazookas! I'll be around in game sometime next week and get with you! Out of town right now
