In this case it would be the ID of the item. A pre-patch bone armor would display "a bone chest of hardening" to anyone who clicks it, where as a non pre-patch one would just say "a magic bone chest" or whatever.

The invis shield is totally unique, and I would ague the reaction shirt is as well. You've got a unique nightmare GK, its a purple nightmare. Unique could be defined as a common item with additional rare properties, no?
