The formula we use is derived from a drop rate table on stratics from the era.

Can you link to a drop rate table? I cant find anything like that :\

I have a quick question. A level one, Tattered plainly drawn tmap, requires 0 cartography to decode the map right? I keep gettin the messege"You fail to make anything of the map" over my head and a system messege that says"the map is too difficult to attempt to decode" Is this something im doin wrong? i tried a quite afew times to decode. i got this info from the link on this post:

Level One: 0-30% Cartography required
Level Two: 60-80% Cartography required
Level Three: 70-90% Cartography required
Level Four: 90-99% Cartography required
Level Five: 100% Carography required


So what am i doin wrong? My dexxer with no cartography should be able to decode a lvl one map right?

I believe you need 70 cartography to do a level one...not sure where you got this info

i copied that info from the link Derrick posted on the previous page of this forum post..70 CARTOGRAPHY? Can anyone confirm that? What do you need to decode level 5's? 125 Cartography?

Aye, looks like something isn't correct here. I'll look into this. There is another page on era stratics that gives completely different numbers

Level one maps are currently requirung 27 carto. They will be revised to 0 on next update.
