GA/GSTR have no delay ... they just can't be used at the sametime as str/agility spell/items ... once you are hit with a weaken and a clumsy you can use them though.
Passing the flag back and forth isn't exactly strategy unless its to give it to the person that is the hardest to kill ... CTF isn't bagball ... no reason to keep switching who is holding it unless you are about to die or like I said originally ... to someone harder to kill. And that actually has nothing to do with refresh pots. Food is unlimited and you'd still be allowed to use it, as well as refresh pots, but you would be limited to the amount that you were carrying.

kills should count for more than a flag return to a player, but flag returns should be worth more to the team

I find it ironic so many people want potions removed but food left in...isn't the whole rant basically the unlimited stamina? O.o

i just played CTF then. i constantly had 4 macers chasing me and its damn hard to heal, eat food "+ 6 stam" before you get hit with another big blow and lose 10 stam. i like it how that is, with Red pots all you need is a button to spamm and a macer means nothing in ctf.

You know you can make a macro to eat food. With unlimited food eating how is it any different than a red potion? Thats my point. Are you suggesting eating 10 pieces of food in 1 sec to get full health is any different than drinking 10 red potions for full health in 1 sec? Spamming something that refreshes your stamina to 100% and spamming something that only raises your stamina a certain amount are 2 different things ...
A player will not be able to spam food eating and run solo with a flag the way they do now with TR pots ...
Teleport should be allowed, but so should field spells [para field, poison field, energy field, wall of stone, fire field]
Teleport should only be allowed if you do not have the flag though ...
I also think that the messages at the bottom showing when each flag is taken should be removed, to prevent people from waiting for other teams to grab flags first, so that they can beat the timer ... make the game more mysterious ...

Problem with this is. Teleport without a flag.. on smaller bases "even urban" it would be very simple to catch up to the other base or even a mate with a flag who is in trouble after death. Meaning killing mages would be useless because they would be back 20 seconds later. If teleport was restricted to about 4 tiles in ctf, it might work getting passed walls or over people blocking.Jaster wrote:

The flag message, as much as its hated.. you need it. For players not knowing when their flag has been grabbed, then only noticed when a guy in yellow runs past them. That would suck

Simple fix for this. When somone dies with a flag, If another person grabs the flag. the timer is then reset aka, i have 30 seconds left, il kill myself so my team gets it for more time.
Problem with this is, it can be abused BUT it also leads to people attacking bases. Most CTF's lead to only 2-3 people fighting at the other flag end because there is almost no point in doing so. If a flag wasent TIME based caps, there would be.

really short flag timers would force teams to work together as well,
ie you have 10 second timer, pass to friend it resets, you have ten more seconds

Force temas to both guard and raid bases. There is team talk for a reason [t. Guarding half can easily let the rest of the team know it's been grabbed.
I think the maps need to be revamped due to the amour of player the server is getting and has playing events. Huts, cave, and urban are to small of maps for 20 on 20 ... Decent for 7v7 but that's rare to see. To much variety in maps also. Should be 2 maps large enough to house 100 possible players bc I doubt derrick will want to cap ctf events unles he has two games at once going to accompdate the amount of players signed we up

I've played a CtF on another shard where everything was allowed except summoning spells. It made the game real fun, and people had to work together with the abilities to wall and teleport. Of course the 4 man team arena was a bit modified, but it made the game that much harder, and required that much more team work. In the long hallway before the first turn in each base, running away from the flag room, there were 4 walls that created a zig-zag pattern and people would sit there and wall the walls placed there to trap people in, with a team you would have to dispel field the walls, also pass the flag if the opportunity arose. It created the need for a defense, mostly consisting of about 4 warriors/2 mages, and a flagging team of about 2-4 people. Made for a great time and a lot of group work.

I like the addition of wall of stone, but no red pots is just stupid...we have 15 characters, eventually everyone will make one specifcally for CTF that is a macer.
The major thing that needs to be addressed is being able to auto pick up flags and capture.
I know many are running razor loops of "Double click flag by type". Extremely lame, makes killnig flag carrier pointless and each ctf turns into a game of "whos timer will expire first"

Ok I honestly don't see the need in removing refresh potions. So what if you can chug one when your surronded by 5 dexxers and cant move? So what? Like honestly you dexxers have it so easy why don't you whine some more. Most of the times, its a mage doing all the capturing anyways and its not fun being knocked down to 0 stam for the whole match unless you want to die or let yourself die to get full stam again. Yes you can eat food but that doesn't helped when your being surronded by 5 dexxers, and you become full after a bit anyways. Let's remove heal and cure so dexxers don't live as long, how about bandies too?
