anatomy damage super-bonuses
"you deliver a crushing blow"
^THAT, along with what we've got now (minus trotting bug) would make this game the most perfect game ever. i'd settle for just fixing the trotting bug though.

Passive skill gains for things like Med, Eval, Anat & Animal Lore. I'm sure there are others, but those are the big ones I'm thinking of off the top of my head.
UO:R Housing. I'm not a fan of the stupid stuff people did with custom housing, but I'd take it if it were either that or the current housing. UO:R housing was the best though. It was a very nice middle ground between T2A & custom. I'd kill for a small tower or even a small stone workshop to mine out of.

Custom Houses - Would be very interesting to see how people designed them without the protection that custom housing had in later eras where only friends and co-owners could enter your house. I did quite enjoy designing my own 18x18 shops.
New Crafting Gumps - Much better than the old ones I think everyone can agree.
Newer Vendor Rental Contracts - Easy to manage people you're renting space to in your shops.
Pixelcrack - Overall the game had more stuff. Some good, some terrible, but it made decorating more fun.
Expanded Crafting - I do miss the other crafting items. Gemstones, Pearls, different kinds of wood. Made for much more diversity in UO even though a lot of it sucked.

This is era accurate and should be put in. It's not (just) from another era although I do remember it still being around in UO:R.Hicha wrote:Schroom room in Deceit.
Re: Things from other eras you wish were in T2A.
anyone remember when you could gain skill fast by actually sparring with another player? or even, wayyyy back, watching two people fight (if you had real low skill), it would raise?
Re: Things from other eras you wish were in T2A.
oh, and POWER HOUR! the one hour each day, at random, when skill gain was quicker

I dont remember it being random, thought it was theMatty wrote:oh, and POWER HOUR! the one hour each day, at random, when skill gain was quicker
1st hr of login. I remember not logging in a char unless
I was prepared to train whatever skill.

I think power hour was at the same time everyday for everyone. Could be wrong. Though I think power hour is rather unnecessary right now.Orion GM B^D wrote:I dont remember it being random, thought it was theMatty wrote:oh, and POWER HOUR! the one hour each day, at random, when skill gain was quicker

UO:R Housing (minus the lockdown rules)
factions
Khaldun
passive gains in meditation and anatomy
I also really enjoyed the one second delay for detect hidden, slower poison elementals and crowds of people in Deceit. Good times.

Power hour was the first hour logged in, if I recall correctly. It was a bonus for the people with lives that play(ed) the game because they didn't have 8+ hours a day to grind away in UO.
UO:R Housing (not custom) is the bomb and would be a lovely diversity here.
Also, yes, the skill-gain through bearing witness worked for almost, if not all, skills at one point. If your skill was low enough you would simply get skill by watching others do things. Sparring with fellow players also yielded from what I remember, but that was 10000 years ago now.
