Best thing is probably encouraging friends and family to play. Although to be honest 100% of my friends would not at all understand my attraction to this game or be interested in playing. I don't advertise that I play. They would wonder why someone my age is still playing Dungeons & Dragons.

You all can talk all day about things that ARE allowed, but won't work... I choose to keep dreaming. I <3 UOSA, I love the era accurate mechanics, but let's face it... things can get a little dry.

Dry is one word for it. I'm good with the mechanics being era accurate, but there are some things that could use a modern twist or some smart game play changes. Using the bar reference again, keeping a historical building/bar original is commendable but it still needs painting every now and then and it'd be bad for business to refuse taking credit cards for the sake of era accuracy.

Im not going to ever lose help, I still feel in my heart that Derrick thinks this server is way better when theres events.

Don't know if this would be effective, but an idea to ponder:

Someone mentioned promoting the shard to various nationalities and on their gaming forums. Would it be a good idea to have a standard UOSA promotion text? Say, at a maximum of 50 words and perhaps a clickable UOSA signature logo? Personally I feel the slogan "The way it was" is perfect, could it be used more in some way? That one got my attention and excitement in the beginning.

The reason to have this sort of text would be to make it easy for members to spread the word, not having to think of "What should I write?" since that could sometimes be a brake in peoples' minds to promote. If we want members to promote, make it easy for them to do it. That kinda thinking.

Have somewhat of a charismatic personality and stream this game on twitch. Make sure to use a webcam.

Twitch can be a great way to bring people in if you have the time to do it every day. Build up a good viewer base.

Edit: ESPECIALLY if you are a cute girl.... Any cute girls that play UOSA should definitely stream.

hehe rose i rather not have a dozen uo nerds jerking off on the view of me or any of the other girls on a webcam streaming the game:P people won't be looking at the stream plenty without girlfriends haha:P but if ye do find a gal who doesn't mind i'd be quite suprised:P
