Just got another "accurate war fork" off a LL. Seems to be a popular drop.

noted, i killed 15 drags and got no magic weapons with anything more then surpassingly accurate & some lame spell, not even a damage modifier.Kenrick wrote:
Just my opinion here, but I think you may have over corrected it. I've only been playing for a week, but I've definitely noticed that magic item droprate is too low. And when magic items do drop, they seem to be of the lame variety. I just killed 3 lich lords and the best thing I got off them was "a massive war fork." Yikes.

But I've killed countless "mid-tier" mobs like wyverns, liches, orcs, ghosts, water/air/fire eles, gargoyles, gazers, etc, and only gotten 1 or 2 decent items all told. I just don't remember it being that bad.Derrick wrote:We'll kep an eye on this, 3 Lich Lords is a pretty small sample, and for the purposes of magics Massive could have been as easily a Force, which wouldn't have been so bad.
Keep me posted, if we can get a larger sample of drops and they look abysmal I'll make some chages but i did a lot of testing with the current rates and they looked good to me.
First of all, I stepped afk to move some clothes into the dryer for like 15 seconds and that's when you killed me. Really, really amazingly bad luck on my park. I'd like to see you "plow through me with your dexxer" in a different situation.weedsmoke wrote:Kenrick wrote:I was just using those LL's as an example. I plowed through you in Shame on my dexxer the other day. The stuff you hunt is not going to drop Vanqs. At least, not at a high percent rate. You have prolly like a 5% chance in shame to get a vanq, WHEN a magic item drops, and IF its a weapon. Im assuming balrons dragons etc is probally only about a 15% chance which is what they should be at. I dont see this broken at all I think the drop rate is fine.

In 3 hours of play today I pulled 4 vanqs, 3 silvers, and 3 pieces of reflect jewelry...dirk smallwood wrote:vanqs of any decent kind of wepon are supposed to be mainly tmap drops neways
I believe thats a little to much. Maybe a vanq a day if your lucky or less then that, like people have mentioned ..that blacksmithy...tailors...just become..how can i say this, useless and defeats the purpose for even making them but to repair. You all remember the days where you ran to the blacksmith and there sat smiths doing orders ? Tell me, dont you miss that ? Keep magic weapons low, extremely low as well as armor. Make it a bigger gold drop instead of a magic item drop. This will help balance the economy. I couldn't help the fact to mention that t maps can be an easy thing to do, if you know how to do them, make the stuff on those to more rare.johttenn wrote:In 3 hours of play today I pulled 4 vanqs, 3 silvers, and 3 pieces of reflect jewelry...dirk smallwood wrote:vanqs of any decent kind of wepon are supposed to be mainly tmap drops neways
The drops are fine.
