Just FYI.
ResQ is that players tracker, he uses "Log Out" to actually kill people, outside of guard zones, anyway.

If you see one, the other won't be too far away, either.

Hitting ResQ himself is probably the most effective since it cripples the others.
He's also a GM hider, so, polish your glasses.

What is "log out" method of killing people? I am unfamiliar.

It seems to be:
Use tracking with "ResQ", if a mark is found, hide "ResQ" and seek the mark with "Log Out". That way "Log Out" gets the murder counts.

Basically ResQ is a radar dish and Log Out is a missile.

Personally, I don't mind the guy. People just need to be prepared, is all.
Edit:
With "prepared" I mean, not going afk without a plan B and not logging out outside of an inn/house.

That is actually the goal for some. If I had a thief on this shard a similar thread like this about my thief would make me happy, the infamy. You just live and learn on this shard, the more you learn the better. Worse, much worse has happened to people then what is/has been happening to you, I promise.

Hi SaibotMK. Sorry It's taken a while for me to reply my PC Kal Vas Flam'd itself. It's an old beast like myself so it took a while to crank it's handle and get it going again.

You are completely right, if someone likes the infamy they are going to be really pleased with themselves to gain recognition and when it's a thief that is fine, in fact I think it's great! You played the game well, you drew those people you interacted with into your world and made an impact. Bravo! No sarcasm here this is an honest reaction from me, anyone who can play so well they get into someones head is a great player.

The trouble is that resQ isn't interacting with the players to effect that headspace, he does it in a way so that he doesn't interact with the players. It's kinda comparing apples and oranges. One way enriches the players and the shard the other benefits only one player to the loss of the shard.

But you are right that he's thinking "this is wonderful, lots of attention." There's no getting away from the fact. It's still a shame and still makes me sad for everyone(even resQ).

Hi all! First, I'm not resQ, but I've done some house kills myself and I feel competent to add my two cents. If this is someone's playstyle and he's good at it, then why not? UO is all about diversity and creativity and I think we can all agree that even if one particular playstyle e.g. house killing never existed, it would be a loss in a way as it adds another dimension to the game and also things to keep in mind that go with it. I'm sure not everyone is going to agree with me on this, especially the people who frequently end up dead in the middle of their house. On the other hand, I have also been house killed myself and on many occasions. I even had a serious problem with one particular guy and I kept finding my macroing toons dead for about a week or so. Before this gets TLDR I just want to say get over it, embrace it, deal with it one way or another, but never denounce it, as it is a valid way to play UO and arguably fun playstyle for some.
