Yeah, anyone who could come close to calling themselves "badass" at PVP would be able to handle a thief.
Besides that, there are so many mistakes in your initial post that I actually thought you were talking about people being scared of Ultima.
Sincerely,
A Thief who is part of a group of THIEVES.

I started a folder for screenshots of this guy. I can already tell he will be fun to steal from due to his poor attitude.

Well I have never ran into a thief in a dungeon myself. I have only run across thieves at the banks which is to be expected. Personally I have no problem with the thief profession. If they steal from me then I was giving them the opportunity to do so. Thieves can be annoy but they have just as much right to be here as any other character type.

I think the reason so many people have thieves here is simply because of how easy razor makes it to have one. In the past there wasnt all the multi-clienting and macroing 24/7 like there is now, atleast not to the same extent. Anyhow i played on divinity for a little while before here, and i think it was way worse there.

I'd just like to point out that playing a thief was very widespread and viable on OSI. I was in the Trinsic Borrowers guild on Atlantic and split my time on UO pvping on my tank mage and thief pvping..
The difference is that razor allows stealing by type which is beyond lame. I mean even UOP and that fast steal exploit it had wasn't as powerful.

Thiefs on second age is like aids in africa. Just a bit to much.
By all means, thief chars are acceptable and fun to play. But there are two types of thiefs.
Pro thiefs and Theifs who hang out in Cotvious. cooomme on.

I wish that I hadn't really quit and that instead I had made this exact guy, posting exactly what he posts on the forums, alternately bragging about LEET OMG PVP SKILZ and crying about OMG THIEF STEAL STUFF AT DUNGEON WTF GET SUM SKIL. It would have been performance art. Then again, he did start about when I quit. Or maybe he is Hemperor.

Everyone seems to whine about shit when it happens to them! I hope that nothing changes with the ability for thiefs. I QUIT OSI due to ONE major glitch, They NEWBIED their game! Can't steal keys, Runebooks, boats, deeds, rares, anything that was of any value to steal. Shit. People Many people create a thief to simply understand their abilitys to further protect themselves.
I for one like to run around on a thief. Nothing more fun then having a thief to upset whiny players! On OSI I used to play some dirty tricks, here I just use it to increase my regs and runebook library. I still actually play the game, however I agree with the above, DONT USE MAJOR BANKS if your to stupid to know thief protection.
I ALWAYS cast reveal as i run up to even minocs bank, then i hide or cast invis. AS A THIEF I also do not even bother with players who clearly have good thief blockers, like reveal and hiding around the bank. And trust me, not too many people want to stand long hours in empty towns for that one or two people who use that banking spot to come by, if your smart enough to bank less popular banks, then ur smart enough to most likly not be a target.
NOW, keep your eye out, because some banks start to get pretty crouded, and are grabbing the eye of thiefs . . .Like Moonglow . . .Thats my only hint to you all!

just keep your regs and stuff in a locked chest/box and separate your regs into 5's a couple times (not the whole bunch). It's probably an extra minute of prep work which I haven't had to do here (not many thieves I played against..thought chum was the only major one.) You could also gimp your char and pick up detect hidden/tracking and regrief them

(PS regrief is not a word?) I want rights to it!
