So basically I can not have the name even though it isn't really offensive because of the filter. Well that is sad. I really wanted everyone to be able to wear armor and clothes crafted by A Stupid Newbie. I guess I will have to find another name instead. Thanks for the answers.

This is probably a function that we can't circumvent in the client itself. As for changing names, I have never personally changed a name of a player in game, and from what I understand, few if any actions have been taken by any other staff members to change a character's name due to the nature of the name.

Well, Since noone seems offended by the name he wants and he seemed to have his heart set on it, Could someone (staff) meet up with him in-game and make him "a stupid newbie"?

We really can't be responsible for changing a player's name when the filter disallows it. The reason for it is because of the fact that if we make an exception for one person we will need to make exceptions for everyone who decides that they want a filtered name. We do, however, have name change deeds that can currently be acquired through the trophy point system. Given enough participation in events (or purchase of said points), he does have a way to acquire a deed which will allow him to get the name he wishes to have.

Tasteless names are better anyways.

They give you an idea of the player's true personality.

It is alright. I really don't expect special treatment. The suggestion of a name change deed a good one, however I am not a great pvper but perhaps I will be able to save up enough gold to purchase one from someone else. Thanks for the idea. I will make my crafter using another name and then if I can get the deed I will change it. As for the name, I started using it because people would call me a stupid newbie at times, so I embraced it so to speak. My husband thought it was hilarious. I didn't start this thread to complain about others names though. I just wanted to know why my name was being disallowed. Thanks again for the help.

I had a character named "Motherfu*kerCu*t" (edited here obviously) for about 6 months...one day I logged onto that account and a GM had renamed the character to "Generic (including the quotation mark) with a name change deed in my backpack
