Era? You mean the last updated patched day before UOR came out right? You mean that era...a week or so more or less? Why do you think these fixes came into play anyway?...They were trying to streamline gameplay. Before that people were doing barter trades as is being hinted at in this post. If you think its a bad idea to barter things of that nature, they thought so too years ago...thats why later they included checks. You agree on something then.
And checks don't favour any class over another.
If you think it was a stupid idea to use diamonds...you are right. But thats what this will resort to an epic barter system where items become less a prize then they would be currency. Hold unto this while I get the gold to you little by little until this much is repaid etc etc.
Kind of like leasing a claim with security deposits.

Perhaps you are confused =] 1999 is the era we're trying to emulate. There are hundreds of pages of threads regarding this. A break from posting for awhile for you in lieu of extensive research on what the shard is about may be a good idea! =]

Oh yeah all of 1999? Every fix? or before every fix?

I voted "No".

You are proposing to make my large collection of diamonds virtually worthless! Let alone break era accuracy by augmenting the buy price. A high buy price is what makes a large amount of diamonds cool to own, in my opinion

Don't mess with my precious pixel value!
