That's a slippery slope.

CUB was a era accurate event in T2A including having trash barrels in your house.

When it comes back it should be back in full effect and not nerfed.

Again, I'll restate:

CUB is not about cleaning up your shit.

It's all about the hair dyes.

CUB is T2A accurate. It happened once though, not every 7 months.

If you want to clean up Britannia, throw your some damn items. You shouldn't need to be rewarded for helping the server's performance. The better the server performs, the better it is for everyone. Stop being selfish and trash your items/sell your items without Administrative incentives.

I think running it one time only is the best idea, let everyone else get their stuff through trophys the way we all had to do for a year before the CUB.

But if it absolutely must be run again Hemps prolly got the best thought there. Run it once every length of time t2a era ran entirely beggining to end, and run it accurately, the way it was ran on osi.

Most the things that were aquired through CUB system are available via trophy system anyway. So it should be more about the nostalgia and memories of the event than the items. Letting everyone who missed the first one relive the CUB event could be fun, but every couple years even sounds too soon.

The hair dyes sold for 40k when the CUB was in place.. they just in the past month or two have actually reached a decent value.
And I think if anything it should just be held around the same time each year.. once a year, for maybe a week tops- since we ARE trying to relive T2a, and it IS t2a accurate: Why not have it as an anual clean up?

I personally think it should be a 'party like it's 1999' thing every year in terms of the Trinsic invastion AND CUB.

I know there are those that benefited from CUB last year that don't want to see it deflate their goods but I think that's a little short sighted.

And, after all, the trophy system is harder to get points from what I understand. Did they restore CTF and DD trophies?

So, in all fairness and in spirit of the shard, I think it would only be fair to have both 1999 events happen once a year, every year.

The main reason I can see against a yearly CUB is because its counter productive in that everyone hordes items to cash in. Thus you end up with a larger item count.

Plus CUB doesn't reward new players, it makes the rich richer.

Considering i am a fishing is one of the skills on my thunter, I could just dump 10k fishsteaks into a trashcan 1 at a time no? Or is it only for weps/armor? Wasn't playing this server for the 1st one, and I don't remember the one on retail

The last CUB here was at the end of December. I saw Derrick stated in another thread not too long ago that there may or may not be another CUB and if there is, it will not be pre-announced.

Stackable items weren't redeemable for tickets. Most other items were.

I agree, we ARE here to have fun and I'm sure some people are thriving to get some of the things they weren't able to obtain on OSI shards.

I understand the argument that CuB happened only once. The vast majority on this server will play less than a year though. I've never seen a CuB on the server and i've been here half a year or so. I think a once a year clean up would be fun for those that want that nostalgic part at least once.

I agree that there should be a CUB again one day, but it should not be annually or anything like that. It should be brought on by surprise and there should be very long lengths of time in between these events. You have no idea the hoarding power of players if they know/think a CUB event is coming up. :p
