UO Second Age

IMO n-c is the only competitive group. Theres literally no other groups on. Ft$ fields but 90% of the time is no voice old school PvP, which honestly I like.

N-C is pretty much the ONLY group that's stuck around UOSA for it's ups and downs in PvP scene.. when shit was poppin' and when it was slow, you'd pretty much always find every one of them actively looking for fights on their playing time.

Unfortunately, all other guilds that have been named had their moments then died out/quit/got banned. Each and every one of them having members that just left the server or UO completely.

It's a shame so many people out there that still do 'play UO' but won't get out of the arena.. for instance: not only will the vet top tier/up to par/mediocre/trash duelists even think to dare to get out there and field, but they won't budge for anything unless there was some kind of "Dueling Event" going on..

And then there's the guys out there that attempted to do the war scene/fielding and just couldn't handle it and peaced the guild(s) too advanced for the solo war dude that can't seem to find anyone else to join in on his warring fun..
Not the vets.. not the other SOLO fielders out there.. nor the large group of active bluebies only jumping in on something they otherwise wouldn't be able to handle.. not even the "duelists".. won't even give it a try.

I do have to prop the newer folk that are attempting to get out there and make war guilds, but they all seem short lived. I've been doing my part in training my newest members..
But will any leader type "Vet" take a newer crew down to learn the ropes and teach those that are ambitious to get into the war scene? All it takes is a bit of communication.. can't be any more time consuming then the mind numbing hally cycling dice rolls of uber-1337 duel league..

You could even start your very own event type 'field league'... Imagine 4 or 5 groups of 2-4 heavily competing over being the top guild in the war scene.. no guilds holding hands with each other, so no alliances at all.. just straight war in the battlefields.. I mean isn't that what 'duels' are supposed to be training you up for? Food for thought...

The reality is most people play this game casually and don't have the time or desire to teach newcomers how to competitively play a 15 year old game. UOSA probably has about 20 peeps who are worth a shit at pvp that play w any regularity. The numbers just don't support the dreams of massive field guild wars bc most of these peeps can't play at the same time.

I try to play a couple times a week but there's hardly anyone on when I get on. You do see more action late at night, but I am rarely able to stay up that late, especially during the week.

Sin, to be honest, there's only like 3 duelers that don't do fielding, and 2 of them aren't on til like 3am due to where they live, I can't even think of any other duelers, cause quite frankly there's not really anyone to duel anymore either.
It's just the servers extremely low pop at the moment.
In the past two weeks iVe logged in maybe 3-4 times. Each time I've logged in I made a run to gy n hot spots, only once was did I find a decent fight, the rest it was dead.


And btw kister, I agree, non voice communication fielding/group vs group is the most fun, like old days.

I actually have an idea that I'll try to hash out with some friends and see if it works. Might try and get Ashborn to help if he's interested, if he's even still around. I don't really have time to spare though I'd rather spend it actually in game.

I am sorry reality has been more important than the game, keep on nerding it up and the pixels will come, and frankly GM weapons are more of your style than most. Maybe someday you can equip like Lambo? I wont hold my breath, especially when you cant win forum bids due to laziness.

Fear of Cats is one of the greatest names ever created.
Nothing will ever come close to Three Black Kids, a no talent dexxer from Catskills around 1998, also played Shadowbane as well. Dont know why I love that name.
