Ok, then I propose the clothing bless deeds be grandfathered, but not the items they are used on.
The big difference here was that it WAS a different item than in T2A. With limited charges, it was clearly labeled. Clothing bless deeds are clothing bless deeds are clothing bless deeds.

Good spirit has nothing to do with it.
Why should there be a special exception for me, you, fwerp, guerilla, and a few others?

Why do you have to always start a big argument and take everyone on every time you start playing again? Once you win or lose you'll just stop again and won't have to deal with any of the aftershock.

I don't recall quitting since I started playing here, maybe you have me mixed up with someone else.
I play here because I enjoy playing the game, I like this particular era/ruleset, and because I feel the server is fair and equal. I strongly disagree with the idea of 5 veteren players protesting a legitimate change that barely even effects them (take off the mask to fight?), when changes are constantly effecting everyone else without the slightest bit of "compensation". I don't know how, but some people here have developed a huge sense of entitlement.

I just doubt your sincerity in this debate.
Your posts are becoming less and less constructive, throwing agendas on people instead of argueing the subject.
If you dont love Bush you support the terrorists! etc

The only agenda I have is voicing my opinion on the possibility of a special exception, grandfathering these items or otherwise providing compensation, when this is typically not how situations like this have been handled in the past.BlackFoot wrote:I just doubt your sincerity in this debate.

I would like to keep this on topic instead of resorting to self-defense. I'm sure we can have a rational conversation without resorting to false acusations and straw-man arguments. I don't think my political views have any weight in this forum.

Regarding these custom items grandfathering is absolutely how it has been handled.
Of all the items that have had their properties changed and are still available, grandfathering took place. Same with items that are no longer available.

This special rule only applies to items through the silver-system for some reason.Pristiq wrote:lulz?BlackFoot wrote:Regarding these custom items grandfathering is absolutely how it has been handled.

Since when have silver-reward items been patched? Please provide specific examples.

They removed neon from the list of available mask colors (thankfully).
Unlimited black dye tubs were introduced, degrading the value of the limited trophy-ones.
But there has been no "patching" of the items themselves to my knowledge.
This thread is on a mechanical change that proves true to era accuracy. It does not change the actual reward from this system. It says you get a deed, and you still get a deed. Only the mechanics of blessed clothing change, and only slightly. I cannot understand why someone would be for things like cutting bandages one at a time (which effects everyone), but totally against something that would require an extrordinarily small percentage of the population (less than 1%) to unequip something occasionally.

I've just been informed that this means my entire Ranger Armor suit will be affected. I'm with Blackfoot now!

Without looking at the list off the top of my head -
pheonix armour
furniture dye tub
special dye tub
black dye tub
special hair dye
special beard dye
ranger armour
All of these items have had their properties changed or era accurate versions introduced. Prizes won before the changes/introduction kept their properties for better or for worse (grandfathered).
They kept their properties because those are the prizes people achieved.
People turned in their trophys for 1 charge of black dye. That is what they got. Their prize wasnt changed into something different down the road when era accurate black dye tubs were introduced. They turned in their trophys for a specific prize knowing the specific properties of their reward.
In reality, who would work for a prize whos properties could randomly change at any moment into a completely different prize that they didnt chose or want?
I can only post so many times that I agree era accurate clothing bless deeds should be era accurate.
These are custom prizes awarded to players through a custom system.
Changing peoples custom prizes from what they won to somthing they didnt want or chose is a bait and switch.

Again, people who made dexxers with swordsmanship and bought perfect kats for 50k before the katana switch were f'ed over.
B) As stated above, this "bait and switch" happens all the time. It's why we play this server - because it's constantly evolving into a true era replica.
Also, please explain how each item was patched. I don't remember a single patch affecting ANY of those items.
