You guys have just gotten too used to RunUO shards where PvP is modified for stupid reasons. The only people that don't like the PvP here are either bad or never played OSI (or they were bad then too).

PvP here is fine as is. I can imagine it will only get better as it becomes more accurate.

The thing I don't get is how much people tout how great Div PvP is...

If having great PvP means having a population of ~10 clients on average I don't want great PvP.

i voted no, simply because mini-heal is too high. u can get a max damage explo, max damage hally hit, and start casting an ebolt while the target just miniheals through it back up to ~80%. making the entire dump almost worthless.

If that was ever true, Trammel would have bankrupted UO. PVPr's are the minority, always have been, always will be.

Most of UOSA's mechanics, spawns, ect. are very accurate and great.

However, pvp still needs to be tweaked because currently it's still not very balanced and lacks the "feel" of 1998. It's tough to remember how it was but we need to keep trying, don't settle for what we have now or this shard won't ever improve on the pvp population which is just as important as crafters, socializers, bards, role players and tamers.

i respectfully disagree. maybe not on OSI, but freeshards. and although i dont really like the high mini-heal spams, i thought it over and think that the real problem why people remember ebolt hitting higher, or heal doing less; is because not many people were GM resist, eval, and magery. i certainly was not.

I think it's fun. It's slower and less varied than later uo but overall is still more enjoyable than pvp in every other mmo I've played besides L2.

I do recall when PVP was completely broken here a few months back, there was a loss of maybe like 100 clients total. I think that showed pvp clients were the minority. On my first post, Your right, I was thinking more OSI than free shards. I feel like pvpr's are more vocal on these free shards but still remain in the minority.

the only problem i have with pvp here is that it is too random. i'm not saying its not accurate, or that luck shouldnt play a part, but real UO pvp has always (to my knowledge) been more about player skill than about luck. that is one of the reasons UO pvp is cited as being so much better than pvp in all the other games that have come out since 1998.

when spell damage ranges are as massive as they are here it leaves more to luck then it does to player skill, and imo thats worse than item based pvp. at least in an item based system you're rewarded for the time/effort you put in to playing. you could spend a year getting good at pvp here and still die to ridiculously lucky combos from players that haven't got a clue what they're doing.

I will laugh so hard if damages turn out being wrong.

Mini heal is completely overpowered.... also its obvious on every thread on the board that faust and hemp support every decision made to change that derrick has put in. Get off his Nu**s.

I have hated spamming the heal "in mani" spell from day one since it clearly reminds me of the UOR era...

However, my bias on this game feature doesn't neglect the fact that this server is BASED on replicating the t2a era in '99 and nothing more... This has nothing to do with liking, disliking, nut hugging, or anything else for that matter. It's about ERA ACCURACY and you seriously need to realize this fact son.
