really you could melee sea spawn, magic and missile combat is just better for clearing out landing areas and against other players at sea.

Archery is an option, but when I've been on the seas with my character that has gm archery, I sometimes wish he had magery to fight sea serpents.

is the fisherman that should never see shore...

90/65/70 stats could even work as you won't be engaged on all sides and pinned in as much as you would on land. This gives you plenty of firepower as a mage and speeds up archery a ton considering you are a caster.

I like this, I'm going to try it out next week. I've been wanting to explore fishing and wanted a strong character that wouldn't need assistance. (plus you could easily convert this to a tank mage if it sucked.)

Okie, so I wanna' continue workin' on my gatherer. I have previously decided that the gatherer would have the following skills:

100 Luberjacking
100 Mining
100 Fishing
100 Hiding
100 Magery
100 Meditation
100 Evaluate Intelligence

Although right now when I want to pick up the fishing part of this, I'm wondering which would be best to have, Eval Int, or Resist? I have never had a really pro fisher before, and I want to be able to handle the occasional mobs with this char alone. How dangerous are those serps? Eval to finish them off quick, or resist to have a chance of beating them at all?

Would be good if you wanted to make the UO equivelent of a spy submarine, disembark after tracking someone down if they are on land and stealth into the area to get a closer look or find a good place to mark. It would be good for finding afk seafarers,pirates, for sea serpent hunting, or keeping an eye on a residence in a relatively safe position.

This macro will fish in 6 spots around your boat, drop maps and mibs into separate containers, cut all shoe types into leather and drop said leather into a box as well. As soon as the fish stop biting, the boat moves.

love the macro so far but why isnt it cutting anything into leather and/or dropping anything where the macro gives the location?
