I can cast explosions on a player at the Brit-Graveyard guard line, and run through the graveyard, the explosion will go off, "guards can now be called on you", and I will not be killed, even if the person standing in the guard-zone says "guards", because he is not within line of sight of me for it to register.

This was a very effective way to kill players on servers where spells do damage in town. Load 4 explosions and recall/run away.

This server does not have instant-guards. The only time a guard will instantly kill you is if an NPC notices a criminal act and notifies them. Why are you arguing with me and Kaivan when we know exactly what we're talking about..

I can be standing inside the f'n guard-zone (no idea why you would do this, but still) and then immediately flee out, as long as you break Line of Sight between you (and any NPC that will see the crime) you will not be killed.

You can also cast explosion, drop spell, then cast invisibility, and not be killed, because there is no Line of Sight.

LOS is a complete non-issue in this thread.

Yes, they can. If you attack someone inside the guard-zone and they call guards, and have Line of Sight, you're dead. Plain and simple. Are you guys really this handicapped?

I don't need to test it, there have been no changes to the way guards function. (except the latest guard-line change for cove docks which may of somehow altered this)

Are you suggesting he is lying? He was standing there spamming guards and did not get whacked until he physically moved into the guard zone.

a) hiiachi is so retarded he could not work this out himself (he seems like a pretty smart guy)
b) you were incorrect about the guard rules in the first place
c) it was broken with the last patch, in which case you are wrong

You are simply assuming you are correct, whereas you could test this in 5 seconds and avoid looking like a total idiot in the case you are wrong.

if you look at this picture again, you'll notice he is currently tabbed into the client which is being attacked. he is not currently flagged grey to the attacker

Obviously this is going straight over your head Sandro.

Look at my pic again: The guy in the center is blue, named Hicha. The guy on the outside was blue, named revoke. I had direct LOS between both characters. I started attacking Hicha with revoke, and subsequently spamming guards with Hicha.

I would shoot, take a step closer, and repeat. Until I was exactly inside the guard zone did I get whacked.

On Live, you should be able to call guards and get someone/something g-whacked the moment they even aggro you from outside the guard zone. I should've been dead before the arrow even hit.
