Only Batlin has the skills to make modifications like this.
There has been a lot asked of him as of late from one thing to the next.

Which ever page is was that either spoke about the "up to 20% stat loss", or about the insta res feature in general, either on uo.com or stratics specified that the 10% insta res penalty did stack with the murderer stat loss. I've spent quite a bit of time trying to find this page this morning but have not yet.
The issue with insta res that led up to remove it was many cases of players razor macros choosing "Yes" on the the insta res menu.
The Demo murder system to my understanding is very different from the T2A system, the whole noto system was changed.
The FAQ addressing the changes can be found here:

Uhm, the thing wasn't AUTO-res it was a possible INSTA-res. The choice was to remain either a ghost or res, and that choice existed for everyone not just murderers.
The original topic was about the fact that murder counts should remain the same after resurrection due to era accuracy.
Ultimately, that's two different topics.
Ye but you trying to nerf a certain aspect of pker's realm without acknowledging another era accurate feature that benefits them. Bias much?
Just because you believe that there should be a balance in "nerfs" doesn't mean features should be introduced or removed. Besides that, having counts remain the same after resurrection is a reward for a PK, not a nerf.

I'm not sure quite how testable it is on the demo. There may be the insta-res option, yes, but there are no other players So good luck building up murder counts
It's very testable with the patch for multiple players:

How is it a reward?

I assure you it did not stack. So I guess the demo is out for testing this?

I was unable to find so far where I initially read this fact, that they do stack, spelled out in detail.
I did however come accross this in my search, which is more than enough to illutrate that they absolutely do stack:

This 1/31/2000 archive of the murders page under the reputation section of the archived stratics pages details the functionality of stat loss from murder counts and resurrection with penalties. The relevant information is found near the bottom of the page.

I was reviewing this page this morning:
http://web.archive.org/web/199910230229 ... murder.htm
Which is linked on our murder system FAQ; it doesn't work now either.
I didn't see the info about insta-res on the 10/99 version, but I may have overlooked it.
If these pages come back, i will archive them
Update:
Back up, and archived:

That's unusual, the page loaded fine for me just now and when I first posted the link as well.

Weird, I'm still getting this:
Not in Archive.
No archived versions of the page you requested are available. If the page is still available on the Internet, we will begin archiving it during our next crawl.
Are you sure you don't have it in cache?

I cleared my cache and checked the link. It loaded up quite quickly.

Works fine for me too.
I even cleared my cache to see if it still worked fine too.

Yeah, it works for me now. It must be off and on. I didn't re-clear my cache.
