That's a cute little quip. A PK'r with a brain knows to descend at a critical moment and lots of them travel in packs. A PK'r with a brain interrupts the recall cast, hence the posts a few above discussing that same issue.
Obviously, you're either not a PK'r, or you don't have a brain. Take your pick! (Both is also a choice if you'd like.)

Well, you haven't faced a competent PK then. They can toss explosion potions faster than you can chug healing potions. Then only way you're safe is if you're back in town or out of potion range. Otherwise, you're taking about 15 damage every 4 seconds... and you can only heal about 20 damage every 10 seconds with yellow potions. You can see how the math doesn't work in your favor.

ok don't believe me. I have been running from PKs and chasing blues on my PKs for over ten years off and on. If a single PK chases me on this server I'm safe. If 4 of them roll up on me pre-casted then I die of course, isn't that how its supposed to be? In the earlier days with little to no horses it was different. I might get away half the time and had to implement much more strategy to survive. Now I just run left till you are gone.

I'm not boasting about getting away at all. I think its retardedly(YES I made up a word) easy to get away, and that's my problem.

It doesn't take much tactic to cast a couple ebolts when someone is half dead or being swamped by monsters. Also theres no tactic is travelling in packs.

I think the PK to blue ratio on this server is pretty one sided.

I can be in a dungeon, and within 10 minutes have to recall out two times due to seeing 2 packs of 3+ red players, but not see a single blue character.

I have just taken to doing MiB's/Treasure chests in order to make money, in 4 days since I started doing level 1's I have seen zero red player names and made a decent sum of money.

Once I'm set with my crafters done and my pvp character done, I will be in dungeons again, this time looking for red names to kill, not waiting for red names to appear and me recall out.

Just gotta be smart about it, I doubt a PK is going to spend all day recalling to the 200+ treasure hunting locations hoping to hit the lottery, and most Thunters bank after every chest anyways if they are smart.

But I found when I was in a dungeon, I would find a place to hunt in an area where I could see the reds coming long before They got to me (like in the back area of ice demon room) Put some walls between yourself, use the terrain to your advantage and always be alert and you can get away every time.

You know this is pretty true. Some times I'll see the same red pk come through a dungeon and yet wont see any blues for days. Although I guess it could be that I'm in there during peak pk hours and other blues are smarter (or more afraid) and so thats why but I dispelled this when I was on during the day when I should have been at work so IDK.

A lot of people come here to grief and make PK characters.

They make PK's because it's easier to kill unexpecting blues trying to farm than it is trying to take on reds who are typically better and more prepared for PVP.

Element of surprise + explosion pots + knowing wtf you're doing + magic hally = Smart pk'er and makes it hard to escape

No matter how badass your hally is or how many expl pots you have, If I can see you coming you can't get me.

All people have to do is use dungeon hallways/doors to their advantage, even place a few chests so you have to move them to get through.

A prepared farmer should never get caught by a red PK. They are PK's because that's all they can kill is unprepared newbie people trying to make gold.

I was hidden in destard, saw 3 reds come in, start chasing one guy, and as soon as one other blue character came along and they started to fight back, all 3 reds booked it out of the dungeon lol.

i never survived a pk there unstoppable there like a gd hurricane and they leave my bodies everywhere.
also if you pked me and i see you irl you get hit with my truck then i loot your corpse

So, you've never, ever, been killed by a PK while farming?
It's like a whole segment of the population refuses to admit that murderers are an integral part of the game, intended since the inception of UO. They aren't just hunting newbies; PvM isn't just for newbs. Also, if we take into account that your "mad skills" at running away have developed over time, we can comprehend that PK'rs ability to develop similar skills to prevent running away can also be developed.

I find its easy to far withmy work schedual! at like 9am-11am ive only ever seen like 2 pks, and neither have got me due to my awesome leet hiding skills, then when they cast reveal i simply recall away
