Thanks, I thought I read somewhere that the cutoff date was before 11/23/99.

There is definitely inconsistency with the current cutoff date and the patches Joueur. There is one big patch that hit in November '99 and it was on 11/23/99. However, some of the features from that patch have been used while others have not. A good example is the housing version that came with that patch that doesn't exist here. This is why in my honest opinion we should finally make a push to go one way or the other. We should either fall back to the patch before this large one or just use it and stop there to maintain some consistency.

I never understand why people piss and moan about getting scammed when they are 10 days old and already have half a mil. Obviously its not that hard to get gold so just spend another 10 days and get more gold and use a broker.

Hey Mike, take it easy man, it's coming from a guy who RP's a thief. It's a game, enjoy it. So you lost 500k that you'd made in 10 days or a month, and what? F-it, they're just pixels at the end of the day. The most fun part of the game is earning those first GPs. You're fortunate you get the opportunity again!! Hell, I've been here since February and still live in a small!!

Dont quit over Sociopaths.

Im two weeks new and find lots of them hang out on this shard.

Screwing someone out of 500k gives some a thrill.
They justify it by saying you should have known better.

and well maybe you should have, I am just happy Derrick gives these headcases a place to RP Sociopaths, so they arent killing pets or children in RL.

Thats right I am calling you scamming pricks out for what you are.

The fact they are pixels doesnt excuse it, your a headcase just the same.

I wouldn't classify people who scam as sociopaths.

Two very different animals.

Yeah another thread about griefing, it is what it is.

You can justify it all you want.

Justify what? Scamming someone doesn't automatically make them a sociopath...

They just have different morals.

Well of course its over generalizing, there simply isnt enough evidence to say conclusivly if someone is or isnt.

Interesting though how many check marks you can put next to the average UO scammer, like I said Wrong is wrong, the only difference is you dont get prosecuted in UO and thats the justification.

Poor Behavioral Controls/Impulsive Nature
