There are no classes in UO, at least not in the traditional RPG sense. That's what makes it great.

Apples are apples and pears are pears...

Yes, they are. And you don't ask for apples when what you really want is a pear.

Or you don't pick pears from an apple tree.

You don't find it ironic that someone comes on here with no posts and expects to have their bad idea taken as credible? As far as the forum is concerned, you have no voice because you're not taking part in the community other than coming on here to spout radical ideas.

You've obviously missed the single most important thing about this shard: it's accurate. Accurate doesn't always mean everything is perfected or the way it should have been done, it simply means that it's in line with what was. It was Derricks goal to make a shard that was UO as he remembered and loved it. You should simply feel gracious that he made it public for everyone else to enjoy as well because he didn't have to. He has said many times that he doesn't care how many people are on this shard; 2000, 200, 20, or 2. He's doing this because he simply enjoys it, not as a service to you, so do yourself a favour and drop the attitude and hissy fit. You're not going to score brownie points acting like a spoiled child who didn't get his way.

It is very on topic. It's called being realistic on the issue of what this shard is about.

They get tired now just like the old days. Get off and run on foot like it's 1999.
You may not beleived this, but I played, and played a LOT from 97-01 and I never once owned any sort of a mount. I didn't start riding horses tl I played Metropolis...

I don't remember using mounts at all on Great Lakes. They tired so quickly, they were really a vanity item more than anything else.
