Call me crazy but I am new here and simply can not use stables and I don't understand the whole era-nazi thing when it comes to something that is, to some, obviously a bug at worst or a broken system at best. I personally don't care if the solution is era-correct or not.

If a marketplace has to be destroyed so someone new like me, who has only played since Friday, can use a basic in-game resource to not have my mount killed when I inevitably ganked then so be it. It's troublesome to me that property value is more important than universal access to a basic game mechanic.

Is it really so drastic to give people a minimum number of slots?

Sorry if this is not the appropriate thread but this all seems terribly obvious to me. Let stabling be a reason that newbs stay, not leave.

bit of an exaggeration to call it racist. It's clearly just a joke...

Given that all of the actors are Asian...surely it's not that offensive?

I am still unsure if Braden is joking or being serious.

I find KanSer's signature seriously funny, tho.

It's associating a language difficulty with hints of a lower intelligence. And given that the language difficulty is related to a specific group/race, I would say it is racist. And also a really old joke... I remember vaguely a joke I heard in elementary school that played on the supplies/surprise pronunciation.

I'd like to know how you inferred this from that clip. Especially considering it's a play on a physical lisp...

Also, the word racism implies hate. Would you have me believe that was the intention?

No, I would have you look up the definition of racism.

Some might use it to construe hate, but most commonly it is used to imply discrimination and/or relative perception of value.

It seems obvious that I can be racist against Asian-Americans, for example, without *hating* them. For example, if I think Asian-Americans are bad at math and I'm hiring for a math-related job, I could discriminate against such applicants. Has nothing to do with disliking them or hating them, but rather thinking they are in some way unable to do something, based on their race.

Oh god...

That people are even trying to argue that this is racist boggles my mind.

People are too quick to throw that word around nowadays. Also scary that people are now admitting their personal definition of racism no longer implies hate, but just general reference to anything that has to do with a specific race.

Agreed. Most of the time I hear people use that term, I want to backhand them for making an issue out of nothing. So often, people completely ignore the spirit and intent of something and make a problem where one did not exist simply by CHOOSING to view the glass as half empty as opposed to half full.

Sorry, but this is something that really does bother me. People are entirely too quick to throw this word out and I believe that is a very large portion of the problem.

Its mostly an issue of people being overly politically correct, and it has the opposite effect on society that people think it does when it gets out of hand.

Stop bumping this thread with TOTALLY off topic stuff please.

I'm already ashamed enough that I posted it in the first place.

Let it die... lol.
