Be real and just hang around. And as they said in Citizen Kane:
"Well, it's no trick to make a lot of money...if all you want...is to make a lot of money."

I logged in Sunday AM to find I had not locked my door. Thanks goodness I HAD locked the inside doors! So I lost like 30-50k gp of stuff. Funny thing is I am always bumping doors To bum the use of there loom & wheel, or rune book. I get in all the time, but never think to check whats not locked down. LOLWonko the Sane wrote:In addition to IDOCs I have to confess that I have found an unlocked door with unlocked stuff every time I've set out into the wilderness to find one. I looted everything that wasn't nailed down in someone's L-shape last week, and just a few days after that I found a keep that had only 1 secure container (one front door locked, one not, so everyone, please remember to secure your homes properly!). Free regs, boats (1 in the L-shape, 2 in the keep), treasure maps, and most importantly whole bunch of magic weapons of power (silver even) and vanquishing and armour of hardening and up. Also in each place I found resources like ingots, cloth and leather. Actually, the keep I looted last week, I also looted the keep next door to that a few months ago and got ten or so metal chests (worth what, 10k each?) and a ton of weapons and armour again, along with a bunch of shipwreck bones. I mean a ton. Oh and on top of that resources. In another house one time I found a boat key and on that boat a ton of ore. Had to be smelted, but that's what I have a gm miner for.
If it sounds like I looted your keep... uh... it must have been someone else.

Many many years ago when I was new, I saw chumbucket at one of the banks. I walked up to chum and said, "I R NEW GLD PLZ."
chumbucket thought it was funny and gave me a couple mil and some house deeds.

Also on board with this. I've done very little farming and come up a great deal on IDOCs and sweet ass business deals. I've always been totally straight forward and generally giving good deals and haggling openly. I know who I can trust around here and they know as well.

I've never had millions but I made a nice chunk of gold by selling rares that I found in an IDOC.

I keep my secrets to myself. But a huge portion of my gold comes from farming often and effeciently. Then use your brain and make that gold grow.

Lol, I think that was TTStoners keep. He always kept huge piles of gold in his houses because he was always red. Also think that was TTStoners patio. He had a keep patio and castle there.Telamon wrote:I've made my fortune via IDOC's and player run vendors. TO work IDOC's though you need a crew of 4-8 trustworthy people with a similar level of dedication or you risk putting in a ton of work only to watch as a ghost as people loot the place.
Long story short, if you are nice to people, make friends and generaly try to avoid being an ass you can succeed at this game without being some ancient vet.
I've been here 15 months, never set foot in a dungeon and I've amassed a decent fortune.
I owe it all to the quality of the people I befriended and the loyalty that we have shown each other.
Yep, those are stacks of 60k on the ground. Courtesy of an ACE keep.
Doing events works, but camping the event hoarders houses. Courtesy of another ACE patio.
