I hope something is done sooner than later, it seems to be getting worse, yesterday specifically was pretty bad.

I don't see how the lag has gotten WORSE, since I've been here...
It's always been the lingering random spikes every so often...and as long as everyone else is getting it, it's not a major problem to me. And aren't you going to be leaving us for bigger and better things soon Hemperor?

It isn't a major problem, we are simply discussing it and acknowledging it as an issue and looking for answers.

This is a really strange phenomenon as some people just don't have any lag at all, and some like dritz above report having it constantly.
I'm actively seeking a better location for us but it's a lot of work to move the shard so I do want to make sure that wherever we move to is the right place.

Died in statloss as a result of it.

I lag constantly, and yes I have broadband.
On a positive note, I think the lag adds to the nostalgia of playing UO in the T2A era. If you think about it, most of us played using dial up modems ranging form 14.4kps to 56kps.

if everyone experiences it at the same moment, then that's better than nothing, though it's aggravating. has anyone noticed that timers (like aids) seem to continue through the spikes? maybe i'm crazy, but it seems to be the case...
which would be annoying for mages mostly (as dexers like me would continue to heal while not getting dmg), though all would be affected.
thanks, host, for trying to resolve this.
how did this topic degenerate? :-/

Of course the timers continue. It's not like the servers cpu is lagging, its like complete packetloss for 3 seconds. So if you were to be playing ON the server you would just notice everyone standing still for a couple seconds. Great way to die in PvM!
