Really? Because i have spent the last week picking chests in every vendor, in every town, and i have not found a damn thing. Also while i have seen dried herbs, metal wires, forged metal in peoples houses, i have yet to see any lemons, limes, bacon or bannanas anywhere, i know coconuts are a daily. Maybe im just unlucky but surely after a week solid i would have found at least some coloured wires by now....

There are a lot of "dailies" found in town strongboxes, and there are a couple (coconuts) in barrels.
The only accuracy problem I see is that some of these "dailies" should be "hourlies". I think the justification is the lower population, but I'd still like to see things that spawned every 45 mins on OSI spawn at least twice a day here.

Oh, and the full jars -- they should be daily.

I'd love to see all rares go on a random timer. ;)

You were EXTREMELY unlucky then, because I find rares in them multiple times a day if I do a lot of picking. I have found that certain chests contain rares more often than others though, so that may have something to do with it. I've haven't been playing much lately, but I probably pulled one out a couple weeks ago or so.

The bushel at magincia and rope used to spawn daily at server up, aslong as it had been 'released' the previous day, obvioulsy. Not to sure when they actually fixed that however.

I take it rolling pins & flour sifters spawn in bakers strong box's here?

I wonder why we are still picking and choosing about how we do our rares system when we have factual era accurate proof on how it really worked.

I'm reminded of a post made by someone recently of which derrick agreed with that said something along the lines of "yes newbie house deeds are newb, but it was in era, and we know it, so we can't pick and choose otherwise we encroach on the integrity of the t2a experience"

daily rares was how it worked on osi. there was no random system. how come this cant be era accurate like all other things, no matter how newb or challenged it is.

Because of the smaller population that we have here versus on an osi shard. Personally, I think the daily rares should spawn daily on server up time just like they did on OSI.

The bushel and rope was definetly this era, as i said i could not tell you when it was fixed however, although i believe towards the middle/end of 99 roughly[they threw those huge logs under the dock to stop you using a boat to release them, same trick used to work on barrels, aswell as the water trick]. Also bone containers were a daily, at least on europa, they spawned in the crates & barrels of the room east of Covetus 3 lich room.

Surely one solution would be to have all the original OSI spawns in the usual place, at server up, and all the other spawns on random timers or have say 5 'guest' spawns randomly at server up along with the OSI originals?

I still think semi rares should be fully implemented before the main rares system is addressed. I am aware the square tool kit is a level 2 trophy rare but imo, if this shard is about accuracy, ALL semi rares should be implemented and spawning in the correct shops. This means bannanas, cheese wedge, coconuts, dates, lemons & limes in provisioners, shafts in bowyers/tinkers, square tool kits in tinkers, bacon in butchers, chisels in carpenters, whip in skara ranger huts, and barrels & tubs being unlockable via the water trick. I know some of these items are dailys or slower spawns here, which is good, but at least half the semis are missing.

I agree entirely, there are a lot of details that are constantly being worked towards. I understand for a person who is focused on a particular issue it may seem show, but the issues in this thread are currently in the works.

Please don't ask for timeframe or details though as we will not comment on specific rares or spawn times.

Fairest way is to have server up spawns...Than Everybody will have a fair chance at competing. more about quicknest and luck. make it more like an event. It would make it much more about what item u want and hammer it. i cant wait around to see random timers...i do have somwhat of a life lol =P

This is only good if the server goes down at a somwhat random time and stays down for a random length of time 30 minutes to an hour just to make this scenario accurate
