He was banned for playing someone else's account. It was a dumb reason.

FYI he has a decent amount of YouTube vids he posted of him pvping outnumbered, dueling etc. fun to watch

Dude was a beast and Im just being honest. I wasnt guilded with him. Ive fought him MANY times. But I got no problem saying he was the best I ever fought. And Abyz, does that mean your my hero since Ive said that other then fede you were the best dueler on this shard? I guess you can save me from a burning building too!
As for his ban reason. The TRUTH, whether you think it was or not, was he was on Jackos account one night and saying some questionable/derogatory things. Someone reported it, and he was banned. No 3rd party programs.
I have no idea about the gold thing, but I know for a fact he was banned for the reason I stated above. You guys believe what you want, thats the truth, I wont say how I know, but I know.

Menk... Just stop. I'm glad you enjoy Scienter, but really.... I know certain people get steamed enough to use a little assist to make their UO lives easy. Especially in group pvp. I won't tell you how I know, but I know. Regardless, I wish you both still played. It's slim pickins.

Like I said. All I can tell you is the reason he was banned. I was there when it was reported.
If he bought gold he surely never got caught for it, cause that really wasn't the reason.

What's all this shit about him using 3rd party programs? I've known Fede for the past 3yrs and teamed with him frequently and not once thought that. I will say that he was by far the best player I've teamed with outside of mYm. Dude was just that good of a wizard.

Can someone explain to me why you guys hype up GM automated safe haven events VS wanting to build and reinforce a community around common interests (eg: dueling, dungeon raids, scavenger hunts, pirate battles, bagball, etc)?

Not trolling, I just don't understand what exactly you're looking for in these "old automated events" that were available on UOSA years ago. If you're serious about events, maybe you have time to answer a few questions ....

Post your answers here OR PM me on the forums if you don't want to answer publicly.

1. Are you motivated by silver?

2. By an organized system put on by staff?

3. Having a 100% safe zone to pvp/pvm in?

4. Did you like the fact that they had multiple events per week (sometimes per day) which let you "play UO" without actually playing UO?

5. Did you come to an era-accurate shard, assuming we'd always have out of era features such as automated events?

6. When you say "bring back events" are you referring to those pvp events (DD, CTF, tournaments) that leave a decent portion of the player base on the table or are you referring to all events (dungeon raids, DD, CTF, tournaments, bagball, craftathons, escort missions, etc)?

7. What specifically did you like about these events that you can't recreate as a community?


It's safe to say the old, automated events are not coming back. However, that doesn't mean we can't take player feedback and create non-automated, regularly occurring events sometime down the road. We've got more active Staff than ever before, patches will be rolling out more regularly this year, and as you can tell, Mammoth and I are both very active on a daily basis in-game and in IRC.

TL:DR As a community, we can make stuff happen.
