I'm pretty much finished decorating my patio. At the time I acquired it I wanted it to be my main house, so the decorations reflect the different characters/playstyles I have. Obviously the crafting area with the bear rug attracts attention, but there's also hints of a treasure hunter, a warrior and a chef being around.

You know what I love about this thread? There really is such a sharp distinction between people who have taste and the people who just pile as much shit as possible onto every tile. I love the lived-in feel that some of these houses have. Then there are those that just lag the shit out of your client in an attempt to show their own affluence.

A true testament to the reality of aesthetics.

Took me about 6 months to deco every room in my castle. At first I wasn't sure about the castle (keeps are way more functional off the shelf) but now I am a big fan of them.

Magic weapons and jewlery area

Lobby/Mare and Frenzie storage and stealing area. You can run straight into the 1 tile areas but not out of them, perfect for getting in fast and gating somewhere to steal a mount securely. Also doubles as a lobby for having guests over without letting them walk through my courtyard (walking into it and unlocking the foot stool on the red cloth secures the area)

Runes to peoples houses and courtyards

Image
T-Mapping room.. Secures if you unlock the two foot stools on the inside and the area behind the barrier is for chucking bags of tmap loot.

Tailoring room

Image
Courtyard protector.. Can only run one way over it (from outside to inside) so that my guests can't get to my courtyard.

Image
Courtyard protector for the other door.. secures when I unlock the left hand stool (traps people away from courtyard)

Image
Secure area.. Lock down the stool top left to run in, then last target release it to secure it again once you're over. Then just run out the other side (one way barrier) when done.
