The fact he hasnt waded in and shut this down after 28 pages makes me wonder.....I am sure he is mulling it over - or just ignoring it.

Just thought I'd give this post another +1Vilenarios wrote:This is probably the most frustrating thread to read in the time I've played here. I am not going to argue what is accurate to the era, and what isnt.
I understand why people are getting upset at having their hard-worked for, blessed neon whatever masks/sandals breaking...
But whats the incentive for arguing against it?
Will having blessed items break make this shard so much better? Will you quit playing the "t2a era accurate" shard over something like this? Will UOSA gain additional players if we put a big stamp on the homepage that says "BLESSED ITEMS WILL BREAK!!!". Is it affecting the game play? Why are you not barking up the tree of "Razor is not era accurate... multiple accounts are not era accurate... current tamer commands are not era accurate... silver system is not era accurate...". Clearly - this server isnt, and never will be, era accurate - and alot of the "era accuracies" are just dictated by a few opinions of the well established veterans on the shard (or at least thats the way it seems to me). However, I do not think that is such a bad thing, as the admins do not cater or grant special priveledges to players, like I have heard from other popular shards (UOGamers, UORevelation etc.)
It seems like there are more important things to "rally the era accurate people" for, rather than some foot and head pixels, which outside of getting a boner at the thought of macing "Insert Elite UOSA Vet"s colored mask to dust, doesn't have any game play affect.
- signed by someone who just blessed a pair of black sandals thanks to the holidays, but doesnt give a crap if they break or not.
You are absolutely correct. Thus why on OSI shards, most CBD's were used on Sandals (non moonboot style - mage shades) as they would last much much longer than head wear or clothing. The ONLY people I knew who used CBD's on headgear/clothing were the hardcore roleplayers who rarely partook in PvP.......though we would also individually target them if we saw them out and about with blessed head gear to try to destroy it.Sandro wrote:You know, the only people who are even at risk here are those who own blessed hued masks. Sandals would take something along the lines of 500,000 hits to break, due to feet being one of the lowest body layers to take damage, amongst other things.
Unless you just stood there letting a macer beat on you, your sandals probably won't ever break anyways, regardless of whether they're eligible to be broken or not.

You are correct, idems did not break, as a matter of fact they don't even exist. Additionally, blessed items did not break, however blessed clothing did.Omnicron wrote:Again I say that blessed idems were indestructable before trammel.
