I beg to differ, and take offense. Just because you haven't had interaction with some blue guilds doesn't mean that we are not out there. I can assure you, we are much more active (at certain hours) than most pk guilds, and as some pk's can probably confirm, they will find us hunting in rather large groups in fairly dangerous places. Lone pk'ers will most likely run from us (or die).

Also, it's true that PoV is not as active right now, but once they come back, they will also be quite active as before.

Just because some people prefer to behave like hermits, doesn't mean that there is not a good aligned, helpful community out there.

I gave people a way to make it with better success. Blues have nothing to lose if they die, train with a statloss guild and they'll train you to not die. They have better reason to get their guildmates up and running than someone who can just login , attack someone with no consequence.

I'm not a pk and even i can see it. I have sent a few people to pk guilds simply so they can survive here.

I've trained myself to not die with some trapped pouches, potions and a recall macro.

It's a matter of perspective.

Blues also carry vanq. weps and invuln. armor, not to mention their hard earned loot, a runebook perhaps, and the usual regs, pots, etc. I have a lot to loose if I die. However, since we most likely run in groups, and most probably will have a numbers advantage, I'd rather train my guild to fight back than run.

A pk only has to leave their char logged in and jump on any of the other 10 chars they can have on their other two accounts (if they play within the rules). Yes they might loose regs, weps and such, but don't loose any additional loot they have been farming.

I fail to see how a pk will loose more than a blue with the current policy of being able to multi-client. Back on OSI, I'd agree, since a very limited number of people had multiple accounts.

Most Pks , death = starting a new character. Most blues, death = ask for a rez or find a healer.

There's a big difference in the need for survival for each.

Surely you jest.

I have never played a PKer, have you?

I ask because your response leaves me speachless. I'm not sure how to answer to that within the parameters of cordiality required in this forum.

I will just limit myself to say that I do not see T-G making many new chars. And the have died, trust me. They just have several 7xGM (or almost finished) characters each.

Even if they did res in stat, I fail to see how loosing 20% of stats and skills compares to making a new char from sratch.

Just went to the bank and sat there for about 5 minutes.
Had a group of 4 or so in no time to go and do soem tmaps.
Did a map (only one casualty) then hit up a spawn jsut north for a bit.
Went back to the bank and dropped our loot.
Hit up our second map (a higher level, 4 i think). Half way through a warrior in gold plate showed up randomly and helped us kill some ogre lords.

So all in all i think we had a good time adn it took about 5 minutes of asking people at the bank if they wanted to do stuff. No pks, random interaction with strangers.

You have to be willing to put in alittle bit of effort to get anything out of your play time.

You Sir have made the most eloquent statement in this thread. Excellent job in creating activity too, congratulations.

This answers 90% of the whining on these forums.

There's been a fine line walked in these threads lately between all out bashing of other players, and helpful discussion. I've deleted a few posts in this thread that served to do no more than throw mud at other posters. This post is preserved as an example of what does not qualify as discussion.
Honestly responding to Voodoo with a lengthy retort is a waste of time. And to single-out my post in a thread that is centered around narcissistic tendencies is laughable at best.

So one player threatens not to recruit new players? He is acting like a petulant child and my recommendation that he lurks more is valid.

But feel free to censor me instead of the person looking down on the ENTIRE player-base.
I didn't intend for it to come across as a threat that I would not bring new players to the shard, and I'm sorry if you perceived it that way. My point was actually that the hostile atmosphere in the community reduces my desire to bring new players to the shard.

I feel like I've made a good case for more inclusiveness in this thread, and I'm happy to see that there isn't universal approval for using newbies as latrines on these forums. For now, I'll lurk more - until next time I feel like looking down on the ENTIRE player-base again, that is.

Forums are silly sometimes...

I feel like I don't get PK'd enough.

PK's have fun attacking blues. When PKs attack me, i think YAY someone wants to play!

But I don't get PK'd enough, so I feel unloved :(
